"Purchased a Black Denim 2010 FLHX Street Glide 10 Mar 2010 with the help of Troy and Lindsay. They worked a fair and reasonable trade-in price, and an excellent price for the new bike. I started the process at 3pm and had all documents signed by 5pm....drove down to CV to get the trade-in bike and rode it back to SD HD and picked up the new bike. Their Parts Dept. has friendly Staff that will work with you to find the exact parts needed to support your next project. It's nice to know your parts won't have to be special ordered by the Service Dept. when scheduling work to be done. "Lindsay was great when we made the final purchase. She made it relaxing and almost fun negotiating the trade-in and choosing other options like the extended warranty and additional accessories. I have purchased many motorcycles before and it usually has been a stressful situation with lots of game playing. "All I got to say is these guys are off the hook, me and my girlfriend went down to San Diego for new years she wanted to rent a car . I was like no lets rent a bike so she agreed , so I used the harley dealer locater and called around.And these guys just reminded me of my dealership I deal with @ home bend over backwards for you with no hesitation which is far and in between I've been to many dealerships across our great land and these guys rock. we got off the plane caught a cab to the dealership which we could of walked cause its right @ the end of the run way And meet with Garret he hooked us up with helmets sissy bar and luggage rack which made it so nice instead of packing that stuff with us. Then I asked him of some nice places to ride and hooked us with that also. "Superior customer service relations, yet again! I'm always amazed by the double talk red tape that is proliferated through warranty instructions. Vanessa to the rescue! Received mis-information regarding a warranty repair on an FXRG jacket, purchased some time ago; long story short, Vanessa understood the problem and applied ol'fashion common sense to solve it. A simple stitch repair and the jacket liner was good as new. Harley wants the entire jacket sent back for period of 6-8 weeks; where's the sense in that? Thank you Vanessa for another superbly executed executive decision. Your demonstration of level headed decisiveness is another attribute in a list too long to provide which roughly translates to: "We're here to help you, our friends!" "Over the past 2 weeks I have purchased great accessories with the help of Vanessa (awesome customer service) my new leather jacket fits great! She is quick to grasp exactly what I like in style and went over the features of each product expertly. Anthony in service went above and beyond finding the parts need to get my tour pack in place even though they were back ordered he found them at another shop. On the day of service he had me set up with a loaner by contacting Natalie and all the paper work was ready. I was in and out in minutes. The sales crew John and Derik made sure everything went smoothly. My Road King looks great with the changes and was shining like new as I rode off into the rain (wearing my new rain suite Thank You Again Vanessa). The rain did mess up my shiny new Harley but we made it back to Hemet in record time. Thanks for the excellent customer service!"

"I bought a sportster from another dealer a couple of years back and felt like I was rushed. I like the look and style of the bike, but it was to small for me. Harley makes the best bikes around and they all look hot. I'm 6' tall, to big for that style. When I would go for a cruz around town I really didn't feel comfortable and felt like I was going to make payments on a bike that didn't fit me. I heard about trade in from another harley rider and thought long and hard about walking in and thinking I was going to be pressured by buying a bigger bike on impulse. Boy was I wrong! I was checking out all the beautiful harley as I browsed up and down the show room when a salesmen approached me.Larry Kane directed me to the Dyna Street Bob. It was that simple. That bike fit my style and look. Larry even made comparisons with other Dynas. I came back the next day w/ my trade in already knowing the bike I wanted. Larry Kane again had me sit and check out other bikes before making the deal. The decision made, I was buying a Dyna Street Bob. The business manager Lindsay Friedman worked with me on a great deal, and I'm not saying that because of her beautiful looks. She rides a harley, she made sure I was going to get a good deal. "Bought a sporty 1yr ago on the promo from another dealer. 6 months later met the gang at San Diego Harley and was immediately treated like not only a valued customer but a friend, almost like family. "Our experience with the purchase of the first harley my husband made wasn't so good but loved the girls in motorclothes. After going to all the dealerships around San Diego realized that San Diego Harley was our home. Bad experience with El Cajon Harley, where we will never go to again! "We LOVE our new 2010 Limited. John Baroni is a great low-key salesman. We have known John for many years from another dealership and because of his personality and low-key way we decided to buy our bike from him (No matter which dealership). San Diego always has a BIG selection of bikes and if they don't have your color ( which was our issue) they will get it ASAP. We ordered our color on Tues before Thanksgiving and on Friday following we rode our new bike home. John's manager Rob gave us a GREAT price and listened to what our needs were and made the deal work. Brittney in motorclothes is also someone we have known for a long time from another dealership and her bubbly personality and willingness to help is refreshing. "San Diego Harley is the place to get what you need/want. The warm cookies that are ALWAYS with the receptionist is a perfect way to start the Welcome that I always get at SD Harley. I made SEVERAL trips into speak with John Baroni (this conversation actually started when John was at another dealership) about purchasing a new bike. Each time I went in he was ready to listen, answer questions,etc and NEVER pushed me to "buy" now. His laid back approach is great. When I was finally ready to buy my new Limited SD didn't have my color but John informed me that was NOT a problem even though it was Thanksgiving week. ( This was a Tues) My new bike was at SD Harley on Fri. after Thanksgiving : ) . Amazing for sure. Rob made the deal easy, listening to my wants and needs. Actually, there has never been a time when entering SD Harley that I've not been greeted by every employee that crossed my path. "As a Harley Davidson FANATIC dating back to the 60s this dealership stands alone in my experience. I have three dealerships closer to my home than San Diego Harley. But after visiting each, this dealership won hands down. As soon as I saw my new (used) bike (2009 Police Edition Road King) I knew it was the one for me. I could have gone to any dealership but I like NY Mykes involvement in local issues and motorcycle freedom. I have talked to Clint, Derik and Paula on my cycle needs everyone of them superb professions. Most of my dealings today have been with John Baroni in sales & Lindsey in business management, they both took great care of me (thank you again). The no pressure look for what you like atmosphere put me at ease, but also told me I was dealing with world class motorcycle needs professionals. I bought my bike from San Diego Harley because of being treated with respect, good fair price, and friendly atmosphere. Everyone in the shop is very friendly. "From Larry in Sales, to Rob and dawn in finance. Those guys really took care of me. I came all the way down from Camarillo to pick up my bike and everything was done smooth over the phone. I really appreciate the customer service that was given to me during this entire process. Everyone in the showroom was nice and available to answer any questions I had. The entire place is clean and very well set up. Trust me they will take care of you. In this world we all know that if you spend 20K+ on a motorcycle you should get taken care of but not all Dealers are the same. San Diego Harley really stood out for me. "After shopping around every Harley dealership in SoCal, I can say the SD Harley is the best hands down. No high mark-ups on bikes, straight prices on parts, and the most helpful staff I have found. After shopping around for a new bike I bought one at Biggs in San Marcos. Later to find out that I had been over charged for numerous items to include the bike. More or less just ripped off. While looking fo another bike it seemed that every other place was doing the same thing. Changing prices of parts/services or marking the bikes up through the roof. At San Diego that was not the case straight foward sales staff, finance, and sales manager. San Diego Harley is the only place to buy a bike in SoCal. They have the best deals, selection, and people. I will never shop anywhere else, whether it be for service, parts, or my next bike. Thanks for your honest, help, and for giving me the freedom of the road on my Deluxe."

"I just had some work done on my bike and I was extremely impressed with all the guys at the service desk. They were all very friendly and willing to help me in every way. My bike runs like I just bought it (it's an 88 FXSTS). I'm in the Navy and these guys took good care of my bike while I was on deployment and had it ready to ride when I got back. My bike is a 1990 Heritage Softail Classic (lots of custom work). Two other dealerships north of San Diego told me in the past that they do not work on bikes more than 5 years old. I thought that was the same with all the Harley dealerships. (I live in Corona so you can figure the two nearby me). At any rate I figured at the least they might point me in the right direction to get some help. I was happy to find out they can and would take care of my bike. My bike has a lot of issues but the service guys were HONEST! And straight up with me on EVERYTHING! (No B.S. at all). The mechanics as I saw firsthand worked their butts off to fix my bike; it was like a badge of honor to get it running right and SAFE! Bottom line the bike had more issues spring up as the night was ending and I was stuck in San Diego and had to get home for an emergency situation. They on their own time gave me a ride to the local Navy base where I secured my bike and got a ride home from some friends I called. I'll admit I was a little pissed off at my bike for letting me down. In my 30 years of riding I have NEVER experienced such Quality work and CUSTOMER SERVICE! Short of blowing up my bike with me on it, Kearney Mesa Harley has all my business. I am towing the bike back to them from Corona 112 miles away to let them finish the work it needs. I don't ask the cost because ......one.... I’m afraid to ask I’m in the military so no millionaire here (I did say 20 year old bike) and 2nd whatever it is I know I will get more than my money’s worth. On a very very busy day they showed me in small ways and big what it really means to be part of the H.O.G. Family when it mattered to ME the most. Check this out. Days later I got a call from them a lady I believe her name was Whitneyy called to make sure my bike and I were OK. Got to love this place. I'll bet she is cute too! Thank you Kearny Mesa Harley!"

"I purchased my 07 Sportster 1200R new at Kearney Mesa and from that point on, all of my experiences with S D Harley have been very positive. I have bought parts/accessories and had them installed at Kearney Mesa and Kettner. For some time now, I have been getting all of my work done at Kettner not only because I live 1/2 mile away but mainly because of the customer service and service in general provided by Ryan and the service technicians. Ryan is always helpful and "bending over backward" barely describes his efforts. A while back, I got to the point where I couldn't think of anything else that I wanted to add to my Roadster so I'm reduced to just regular service intervals and parts replacements. The Sportster has almost 33,000 miles on it and still runs as strong as the day I picked it up. THANK YOU Ryan and Jim and others whose names I don't know. If Harley Davidson ever starts producing another Sportster 1200R equivalent that can also be a long distance runner, I'll replace the one I've got. Otherwise you will see this one and me for as long as I can hold it up and ride it. I'm 72 years old and the two of us are growing old together."

"I recently brought my bike in for a service problem. I took it to the downtown store that you call Little Italy, talked to Ryan, and he had his mechanic work on it. After it was finished I was driving home with it and the bike broke down 4 miles from home. I called the Kearny Mesa store that Sunday not knowing if it was open, because I picked the bike up on Saturday, to see if I could get help. The service writer took my statement about what happen and said he would call me back on Monday as to what they were going to do to fix the bike... Which he did. What the most amazing part of all this was, is that not only did they drive all the way to my place in Escondido to pick my bike up to work on it, but then dropped it back off at my house when they were done with it. The problem was something that had happen originally when I had it in the shop in Little Italy (a loose wire), but that they stood behind it and made it all right. And on top of everything else, everyone that I talked to, (about 4-5 people) during all this ordeal,ALL were absolutly WONDERFUL !!! Every single person that I had contact with made me feel like a valued customer and that I wasnt putting them out in the least bit. More merchants could certainly learn from how you treat your customers and how to give GREAT customer service !!! My hats off to SD Harley and ALL there staff !!!! "I recently purchased an '09 Road King Classic from the Kearney Mesa store. Warren was my salesman and I gotta say he was knowledgable, friendly and very patient with me (took me two dates to make up my mind). Love my bike and love the service the staff at SDHD provided. I also took the Riders Edge motorcycle safety training and can't begin to say enough about the course. I had not rode a bike in about 15 years and honestly was just taking the course as an easy way to obtain the motorcycle endorsement on my license. However, once I took to the class I realized that this course was much more valuable than just the endorsement. Paula and Ron were the instructors for the course and both were quite knowledgable, experienced riders. Techniques and safety skills training are key to the course and were taught to myself and the other students with passion that only true rider enthusiasts could deliver. Paula was so excited and entusiastic about teaching, that I witnessed her actually jumping up and down and pumping her fists in the air at the successful execution of a fellow student's newly learned skill. My friends, that is a snapshot of the wonderful people at SDHD and their true enjoyment for what they do. "

"I just finished writing a testimonial for the Riders Edge course and didn't want to ramble on and on about my purchase also. However, I felt I had to write about my purchase experience also. I went to some other HD dealers in San Diego and got the feeling from them that I was more of a disturbance to their day than anything else. Although there were no other customers in these store that looked like they were there to buy a bike, I didn't get much attention (and I was going to buy a bike!) Should have went to SDHD first I guess. Warren greeted me almost as soon as I walked in and started looking around the showroom. He asked a few questions and patiently stood by as I looked at a couple of bikes. He took me into the back store room area and moved bikes around for me to sit on and look at several more bikes. Being that I am one of those who always gets a queasy stomach when making large purchases, I lingered around the dealership for several hours trying to make up my mind. Never pressured once by Warren or anyone else. I actually left and came back the following day and lingered again. Warren again patiently awaited my decision and I finally rewarded him with a ring of the bell on my new '09 Road King. Folks, if you know anyone who wants to buy a Harley or Buell, just send them to SDHD. No need to waste time at the other dealers."

"I purchased my new Buell through San Diego Harley. Needless to say, the service was incredible. When dealing with the finance folks at Harley, they made the transaction as smooth as possible. Now, the bike. The Buell 1125R has to be one of the best kept secrets in the sportbike world. As a former owner of a Ducati Superbike, I can only say that this bike outperforms my old 996 and does it with relative ease. The handling is better at all speeds and the bike just seems more "flickable." It rides better on the freeway for your daily commute, has less vibration, and just feels more solid. It's also a much more comfortable bike to ride long distance. And power? Please. It offers a smooth powerband with plenty of torque throughout. The brakes seem pretty stout, too. My only complaint about the bike is that the factory setting for the throttle is weak. That, however, is a 30 second job to fix and once you do...presto...sportbike nirvana. "I guess I forgot to put out a shout for Mike Moran, Willer and all the gang at SDHD after I purchased my 3rd Bike in 2 1/2 years from them. Got an '09 Road Glide, and Love it. After '07 Road King, needed an upgrade for the long hauls I like to take and moved up to the '08 Road Glide. Love the fixed faring and solid saddlebags, and tour pack. After about 12-15000 miles on that one it was time for another upgrade. '09 Road Glide with all the advances. Wish I could have pulled off the CVO Titanium, still kicking myself on that but anyway, got another righteous deal from Mike Moran, great guy, Willer is awesome, Dawn great, I do not think I'd buy from another dealer. Well, got about 10k on the 09 so maybe it's time to look at the 2010's how about it Mike, what you got. I recommend all the folks down there, look forward to meeting and greeting with Jason in Service soon for my 10k and some clean up work on the bike this month and while it's there maybe try out a 2010 RG. "I took the Rider's Edge course over this last weekend from July 23rd to July 27th. I had never ridden a bike before, I had always been a passenger but I recently decided that I wanted to be a rider. I signed up for the course and as of today I am a fully licensed motorcycle rider. Chris and Ed took extra time with me and went over the mechanics of the Buell Blast that we rode in the class, explaining all of the moving parts. "First I'd like to thank Mike, Warren, and Lindsay for THE BEST business transaction I've had in my life. I owned two previous Hogs, moving up each time as my comfort level and road experience grew. I took the Harley Riders Edge course after a 15 year gap in riding (mostly due to my service in the Navy - moving around so much), needless to say it was a great experience. Every experience I've had with Harley products and employees has been nothing short of excellence. From the initial purchase to upgrades, service and getting to know the folks who work in the stores. One thing I could always count on when I visited a shop was the greetings and the always helpful staff. I had a few issues with my last purchase (I won't go into specifics or the model but I honestly believe I got the one anomaly, where things just seemed to go bad). This led me to the great folks at HD Customer Service (Carol Smith to be exact - wonderful lady!!!). I had ZERO problems with my last two bikes and couldn't understand why the current bike was having the problems that I was experiencing. Carol ran through all the wickets back at the home company and medium length story short, she arranged a buy back for me. This is where Mike, Warren, and Lindsay come in. Mike called me Monday morning and by the afternoon, I rode home on a gorgeous SunGlo Red Ultra. Mike told me that he was there to put the smile back on my face and to return the happiness to my riding experience. Mike, Warren, and Lindsay took care of everything. Mike explained what he needed from me and then told me to go pick out my new bike. This was within five minutes of walking in the door!!! Warren helped me with the selection and went the extra mile helping me move the custom parts from my old bike to the new bike. Thank You again! Lindsay had everything ready for me by the time I came back with my cup of coffee, a few signatures and initials and it was time to ring the bell. My face is still sore from smiling as much as I did yesterday. My joy for the road has been restored and I've found the only Harley dealership that I will deal with for the rest of my time. I have had a huge load taken off my shoulders and the experience with the folks there at San Diego HD (& Carol) has validated and enhanced the reason I chose a Harley as my ride. I got my license last week (shortly after I completed the class) and this past weekend I went out with my boyfriend and rented a Harley from the Kearny Mesa Dealership. "Upon my first arriving to the Kettner location for my first Riders Edge class, I was taken on a tour of the dealership. I will say I was very distant due to bad experiences with other dealerships I have dealt with after buying my '09 Nightster. First was the service department where I met John and Jim, I asked a couple questions and received answers never getting the impression I was bothering them like I got at other dealerships. Then to the sales floor where I then met Mike and Garrett who answered a couple questions that I had about my own bike and trade in. Then Garrett showed me around the sales floor and discussed different models with me for quite some time even though I had already informed him that I wouldn't be doing any buying right away and there were plenty of other leads on the floor at the time he never made me feel like I was wasting his time, that was great, the next day he had even checked further in detail on my trade in question and greeted me with the info by first name when I arrived and told me when ever I was ready he was there. Then to top my whole experience off was my Riders Edge class. My coaches Ed and Steve were top notch, knowledge, experienced, and approachable. My riding has improved and become more enjoyable thanks to them, I recommend taking the course to anybody and everybody as someone who has been riding motorcycles since the age of 5 it will make you a better more comfortable, confident rider. "About two weeks ago I showed up to San Diego Harley to shop for a bike. I was greeted by the Salesman, who struck me more as a knowledgeable customer than a salesman, and asked what I was looking for. I knew that I wanted a sportster, but was unsure which one I wanted. My salesman (Drew Hegeman) was very patient with me and he showed me a lot of bikes and let me come to my own decision about what I wanted. "I was at Grapplers Quest in Del Mar and after the fights I visited the fight expo. I met Lindsey at the Harley display. I was admiring one of the Harleys and had always wanted one. Lindsey invited me over to sit on one of the bikes. Moments later, my wife walked around the corner and I knew I was in trouble. The wife never wanted me to have a bike. I initially was looking at the Iron, they did not have a black one right there, but they let me ride a Nightster, which is comprable. It only had 1700 miles and it was in mint condition. I rode the bike only ten minutes and I was sold. Mike worked out a smokin' deal for me and off I rode!! "Drew in sales was outstanding in handling the purchase of a friend's 09 ULTRA a few weeks ago. Rob in finance was outstanding to deal with, he sure knows how to work those numbers to make a deal---win-win. I had my 02 Road King serviced last week and found a problem with the timing chain tensioners and bike would have to be left for a few days for LOU in service to fix it. Lou actually took me in to the service area(where civilians are usually not allowed for ins. regs.)to actually show me the damaged parts and took his valuable time to make me understand the gravity of the situation, both tensioners needed to be replaced, so I told him I felt confident that he could take care of it in the same professional manner he had presented himself in. Ryan in service also took care of a problem for me,I had to leave my bike but he arranged a ride home for me from ANDY. So long story-short. "ON Thurs. 10/16/08, I walked into your Kearny Mesa dealership with a small problem. A piece of jewelry that I purchased in your downtown dealership in Feb. had broken and a piece of it was lost. I was just hoping to find a replacement emblem, but when I came into contact with Vanessa, she went into high gear to solve the problem. She quickly was on the phone with the manufacturer explaining my plight, and within minutes had arranged for me to send it directly to them for a repair and replacement of the lost piece. "N.Y. Myke, in April this year, I purchased a 2007 custom softail FatBoy from Biggs Harley-Davidson in San Marcos. At the time I rolled it off the showroom floor, the MPH and RPM console was not working properly. I was advised by the service manager to ride the bike for two or three days and the console would calibrate itself. After riding the bike for three days, the console was still inoperable. I took the bike back to Biggs three separate occasions, each time Biggs’ assured me the console was functioning property. However, each time the MRH/RPM did not work. I called your shop and made an appointment with the service department. Your service department had my bike for a half hour and the console now works great. Special thanks to Ryan and Jason. "I've purchased 2 bikes from San Diego Harley and both purchases went without a hitch. I am writing in regard to a recent issue I had with my 07 Ultra. It was a problem with the ignition that was baffling to say the least. To make a long story short, Kieran wrote the service report and Jason was the tech that worked diligently for nearly 2 weeks to remedy the problem. We were all very frustrated to say the least, but Kieran maintained his cool and professionalism thru my rants and raves and constant inquiries as to the status. Jason was finally able to cure the problem which was somewhere in the fuel injection. I would like to commend both Kieran and Jason for sticking with me on this and ensuring that the problem was finally corrected. "I wanted my first bike to be a Harley, I went to another dealership and found the staff to be less than enthusiastic about selling me a bike. A friend suggested I go down to San Diego Harley and check it out. He bought a Road King there 2 years earlier and liked the store and staff. "ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! What else can I say, Mike Moran showed me a beautiful ’08 black Ultra Classic, I was sold when my wife suddenly piped up - Hey what about this one? (Yes, I brought my wife!) Being the conservative penny pincher she is (I mean that in a good way) I was hesitant to turn and see what she was pointing at. It was the 105th Anniversary Ultra Classic sitting on the showroom floor; now sitting in our garage (yes I listened to my wife and bought the 105th FLHTCU). Our next step we were introduced to Vicki to get the HD gear before we mount up. Again, unbelievable experience. She took over an hour with us helping to choose and fit us with apparel and accessories. The deal that Mike, Willer and Rob put together was fantastic and after less than six weeks, I just turned 3k on the speedo! Service was incredible; I had a 1k oil change (where I had the mandatory first round of accessories added!) within 3 weeks of driving off the lot. When we brought it back last week for the XM, Navigation system, tour pack rack with wing and rail, I also brought in a defective helmet; enter Vanessa. She not only got the helmet replaced, she got it replaced by the time I picked our bike up the next day. This is the SD Harley Experience, and we are already planning on buying our second bike from SDHD, an ’09 Deluxe by Christmas. Thank you all for making us believers in your establishment. "Having been a long time super bike rider/racer, I was somewhat hesitant about buying my first Harley. I've rented them on several occasions, while traveling, and it wasn't until I rented a road king on one trip, with a stage 1 kit, pipes, etc. that I finally said, " ok,I'm totally down with this"!! I live in La Jolla, so, I really wanted to buy my first one from S.D. harley, off Clairemont Mesa, I've been driving by it for 5 yrs going to work in Mission Valley, watching the sat. BBQ'S and bands, and all the people there allthe time! But, being a business person, I also didnt want to get sucked in to the hype and whirlwind! So I took off on my quest for my bike, I checked SEVERAL H.D. dealerships, from Riverside county, to L.A., to O.C., all the way to Reno NV!!And, needless to say, the last place I looked, and bought, was S.D.Harley Davidson! I got the best price, the best service, and the staff there was FANTASTIC! Several months later, I needed a helmet for my 9 yr. old son, Tanner. We went into the store and were helped by your accories girl Vicki. And when I say help, Im not kidding! She spent close to an hour with me and my son, fitting helmets, checking the tightness, comfort, lightness, etc. I had no idea there was so much to it! I felt very assured with her professionalism and experiance on something so important!! "Well living in Florida one may wonder why we would be making comments. A friend of ours, a mega Yacht Captain, was looking to buy an 08 Road king Classic and had asked me to check costs for him in Florida, so going to the "largest dealer in the country" and to our friend who is the internet sales manager I just had to say that the deal Andre at San Diego Harley had come up with was the best. My mate bought his bike and on our first visit to the shop with him to collect it i looked at a second hand v rod ( 180 miles). "Well, Put 10k on my '07 RK Custom and Traded in for '08 Road Glide and Mike Moran worked out a righteous deal for me. I now have 6k on the RG and love this bike. My reason today for writing is a couple fold. First and foremost, I would and have recommended SDHD to friends and have helped a couple of them get hooked up with new and used bikes and parts. Overall, every department is staffed with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful employees. I had some problems with my RK that seemed to not be getting addressed. Was stuck in some black hole between what some felt was a difficult situation to resolve. After some frustrations on my part I was relieved to have had Jerahmee Purcell/Service Manager take charge. He handled the situation and everything got resolved. Thank you Jerahmee. Not only did the issue get handled but I had the pleasure to get to know this fine man and am glad to know him. I recommend he and his shop for any and all HD service needs you may have and if you have any issues or special circumstances, talk to him and you may be pleasantly surprised to find a reasonable, knowledgeable and caring individual who wants to do the right things and keep you coming back to SDHD Service in Kearny Mesa. Kieran also is a great resource for information, idea sharing and service writing. Jerahmee took what could have been a difficult situation and handled it professionally, friendly, and without ill will. Again, a good man. While I am writing, I have to give a big shout out to Scott in Parts, another great guy and very helpful Every Time I am in the shop. SDHD seems to have the best parts department of any HD shop I have visited in CA and Outside CA. They almost always have everything you need and if they don't, they'll get it quickly. Scott is patient and very knowledgeable. Also see Al, great, and Rob/Parts Mgr, they will make you feel like family. "I just returned to my hotel room after visiting your incredible party on sunday. I am from Washington on vacation and found out about your Chili party on Sunday from a young man named Jerahmee. I was broken down on the highway on weds night and he pulled over to see if I needed any help. I told Jerahmee the bike died on me on the road and now would not start. He told me he worked for San Diego Harley and would either see about getting me and my bike somewhere safe or maybe get me on the road. After about twenty minutes in the dark, he found a broken ground strap. After finding the problem, he pulled a piece of thick wire from his trunk and replaced the broken ground strap, and the bike started! I asked him what I owed him and he just smiled and told me the wire was the ground wire from his cars amp and he had more to replace it, so no charge. He just gave me his card and told me to get to the downtown shop, because it was closer to my hotel, first thing in the morning for a replacment part and to have a great trip. I took his card and later saw he is your service manager. I am only here on a visit, but I will definatley make San Diego Harley a stop every time I am down here. I also told my friends here too about him. Two of them had dealt with him and your store before and had nothing but good things to say. It is refreshing to know someone like Jerahmee is still there to help out the guy on the side of the road. Thank you!!"

"It has been my experience in the past the most people are quick to complain than they are to compliment. I have a 2006 Ultra Classic with 63K plus miles on it. My HD never stops moving down the highway. I live in Hemet and work in Coronado Island. I moved to CA in July 06 and have worked with numerous HD service shops as far as Palm Springs to you. I have been fortunate enough not have any serious mechanical issues, but the few I have had San Diego HD service shop has been by far the best dealership I have been to. I appreciate the fact that you guys actually perform warranty work the first time and furthermore point out additional warranty work that may be done. I stopped by yesterday to have the CB antenna replaced and Jerahmee had me in and out in less than 10 minutes. I realize than the antenna is secured by one fastener, but to have anything done at any dealership in less than ten minutes is unheard of. I would and will go out of my way to continue to do any service that my Ultra may require with San Diego HD. Thank you for the great service."

"Fate works in funny ways. Recently my boyfriend and I were on the 15 freeway headed to the 2007 Miramar Air Show and we got a rear flat on his new Fat-Boy. We missed the air show getting towed to your shop however, your service dept jumped all over helping my guy out with his bike and the sales guys gave me time to shop around your store without being pushy. Then I saw it, the perfect bike for me. Even though it was close to closing time on a Sunday, Ray Ray in sales was super to deal and didn’t make me feel rushed. I especially appreciated him letting me leave a deposit and come back when I had more time to think everything through. Then when I was to return to decide a week later, the SD fires put a halt to that. My boyfriend, Andrew and I almost died in the fires Sunday night at my work site in Ramona. We got trapped in our cars on the 78 and found out we had no exit route and were surrounded by down power lines and a ring of fire. We spent 14 hours with the Intermountain Fire Dept (you guys rock) watching houses and cars melt to the ground and wondering if we would actually make it home. It gave me time to think about life and that Harley Moto, It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. I was surprised a few days later when I got a call from Ray from his personal cell phone while the store was closed to check on our safety knowing where I worked. That’s creating a relationship, not just a sale. I recently came back to seal the deal and was surprised that even the finance part of the sale was painless, Dawn was really wonderful. I am now the proud owner of my first Harley, a custom 03' V-Rod! I thought the excitement would end after they rang the bell but here came a skipping, smiling face belonging to Vanessa from Clothing & Accessories. Just her shared excitement of my new bike purchase and her genuine attitude, as one girl to another, really made my day. I bought a bundle of items from both her and Vicki and can't wait to come back and shop some more! "Over the Labor Day Weekend I finally decided to get my '07 Road King. I shopped online and by phone to make a long story short I decided that a new '08 was the way to go. I have been dealing with an intermittent issue with my 01 Road king for several years. I have been told several different symptoms of which when I relayed some of them to other HD dealers, they literally laughed in my face, " Vapor Lock " being one of them. "While I've ridden on and off for years, I've never owned a Harley. It's always been a dream of mine, and finally, after deciding that I'm not getting any younger, I took the plunge. I did a lot of research on models, and finally made up my mind that it would be a Softail Deuce. I'd even figured out what color I wanted, Black Cherry. I recently had a problem with my bagger which required a rather extensive amount of work including taking the transmission apart. Although the bike was no longer under warranty, the guys in service felt it was a problem which should be fixed because "it was the right thing to do". All repairs were done at no cost to me. "Finally after 18 years of marriage I have a motorcycle. I sold my motorcycle after we got married. In 2000 I bought a used silverwing and spent about a year refurbishing it. in 2001 I was diagnosed with cancer and my wife sold it because as she said I am not helping you get through this just to have you get killed on a bike. in 2004 I put a deposit on a ducati sport classic. It arrived in late 2006 and my wife talked to some of my friends back east and put her foot down again. no 95 hp 400 lb sport bike for you mister. we stopped in at san diego harley and she decided that the 1200 sportster r was to small for me so on to the plain dyna super glide. I used the customizer to show her the few options I wanted on the bike. About a month later we went to san diego harley under the pretense I was going to obtain financing but when I arrived the gal in finacing said smile and then said we were done and handed me keys and the registration to a new 2007 dyna super glide with a seven year extended warranty and service plan. Even though I work in a mechanical trade I hate working on vehicles so this was icing on the cake. When they rang the bell I was crying and hardly ever do that. My wife said it was worth it just to see me get emotional for a change without someone or something dying. The harley is different than any of my previous bikes but it is filling my need to ride with style and grace. I am planning to ride it to milwaukee for the 105th. Hope to see you there. "I was living in Japan for the past 13 years (1993-2006) and was finally coming back to the states to close out my 20+ years in the Navy. Before coming back, I ordered a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic Fire Fighter Special Edition through the Military New Car Sales Program. The dealer ran a search of dealers in San Diego area to have my bike delivered to and San Diego Harley was the one that I recognized, from my time at NAS Miramar. Cammie called me and said it was ready for me to pick up. She was very helpful in finalizing the paperwork for the bike and I was very impressed with the store ever since. Derik did the bike intro/walk-around and sent me on my way. Later in the day I brought my 10 year old daughter to the store to buy some boots and goggles for her and Vanessa helped her out in getting some boots, goggles and a hoodie pullover. Vanessa was very patient and helpful with my daughter. I have taken my bike for service there since I've had it. The most recent time was to change out the worn rear tire and brake pads in June. Fast forward to today 17JUL07. I called the Service Dept to let the know that my rear tire was losing air quickly and that I couldn't find/see/hear the cause. Jerahmee told me to bring it in the following day. Kieran wrote me up and later during the day, told me what the problem was and that it would be taken care of. They took care of problem and had me safely back on my bike again. Jorge rang me up and I would like to thank the Tech (LMM) for taking me in , in such short notice. San Diego Harley has treated me as a valuable customer ever since picking up my bike in 2006. They have welcomed me almost like family. "Fisrt off let me say how amazed I was about the dealership, staff, and bikes. I had heard about San Diego Harley Davidson ever since I transplanted my butt here almost ten years ago. I was always into riding bikes since i was a kid. First I would ride my friend's little bike which had an old lawn mower motor in it, i was sold on riding ever since. Eventually I started riding dirt bikes, first the ones w/ pedals the ones with motors, I really loved it. But I had always wanted a Harley and not one of those rice rockets which all of my friends as a teenager ogled at. I always thought that since I am a small man of five feet four inches I would never be able to ride and let alone OWN a beautiful Harley or much less any other bike because of my stature. So one day when I had to take my 10 year old Husky to the ER Vet next door to have him checked out I had some time on my hand so I walked accross to your dealership to just look at something I (at the time) knew I could never have. Well as it turns out I was greeted warmly by the front desk recepionist, i walked around the store and was amazed w/ envy at all the absolutely beautiful bikes that were in stock. Then I met Andre Almeraz (Sales Associate), I really didnt want to bother him because of the feeling that I had expressed above in this testimonial. He told me that i was in fact very misinformed and showed me bikes that were better fitted to suit me. I was in shock, but my credit was in not so good / not so bad shape. Andre still thought it might be a good time to see, so I did, I was approved but I was still unsure and told him I would have to think about it and explained how I was in there to begin with. Well after a few contacts later I was still unsure but one night I happed to visit the sandiegoharley.com website to see what new bikes were out and I came accross the Nightster. I WAS IN LOVE !!!, so I filled out the app online and the next day I got a call from Andre, I was still just looking and almost ready to buy but still unsure. "First, let me start by saying I wasn't paid or given anything for writing these comments. This is my own personal way of saying thank you to San Diego Harley and it's employees. I live in Orange County CA, about 1 hr 1/2 from SD Harley. I had visited 6 other Harley dealerships across Orange County and Los Angeles prior to stopping by the SD dealership. All the other dealerships would look me in the eye and say "If you don't purchase this bike, I'm not worried because someone will come tomorrow or the next day and buy it"! I was ready to give up on purchasing a Harley just by the treatment I had recieved. I was visiting a friend when I noticed the SD dealership. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Ted Johnson. I told him what I was looking for, but it wasn't the color I wanted. He said "Don't worry, I'll make it a color that will make you happy". I sat on it one more time and Ted looked at me and said "I promise you I will do everything I can to get you in that bike". For the first time, I was shown appreciation and not looked at as a "DOLLAR SIGN". Of course I had wheel and deal a little bit, but for the FIRST time, someone was actually working with me. "I have purchased my first HD. Road King Classic 2007. I am so stoked I feel I have to share some thoughts of my experience. I had not ridden in quite a few years due to an injury suffered in the Fire Dept. After many months of prompting a buddy got me to test drive his Metric Cruiser. I was able to ride it without pain and without difficulty. I was amazed at the comfort and ease in which I could handle this 670 pound beauty. I purchased a near new model '05 Drifter with 500 miles on it. Rode it back down from Monterey without problem. I thought it was great. I loved that bike and spent about another $3k+ on it in the past two months. There was something missing, I could not find a group of riders with the camaraderie I thought I would be able to find. Similar to that of the brotherhood of firefighting. One Saturday recently I hooked up on the BFE ride with a HD rider. Great guy and we had fun on the poker run. I was impressed at his ridership skills, hand signals and safety. We discussed the myth of HD past and rattling your body to pieces. This is the main reason I did not consider a HD. He told me that the new bikes have rubber mounted engines and in some models counter balancing that nearly eliminates the vibration. I rented a Road King Classic and put down 300 miles on it and loved it. My Metric just didn't have the luster it previously did and I was hooked, I had to get into a HD. Shopped a couple dealers and no takers on a trade of my Drifter. By chance, I emailed SD HD and Mike responded. He replied without pressure and to a level of salesmanship equal to my gauged interest. I did not think I was ready or able to pull off a trade at reasonable value and purchase one. Figured I had a couple months of work to get rid of the Drifter then put down on RCC. Mike kept me posted on the bikes he had coming in. The other day I asked him if the three he got in were still available. He said two were gone but he had a White/Gold Pearl. Not that I need reason to ride, that was enough incentive to take a ride down to see if I liked the color in person. Without any pressure, Mike asked what kept me off the bike today. Really NO PRESSURE. I told him I didn't think I could get a fair shake on a trade and I needed to sell before buying a HD. He asked if it were ok to shop the trade through a few wholesalers he deals with. BTW, no other HD dealer I talked to was willing to take metric trade. He came back with what I felt was a reasonable offer and we cut the deal in an hour. I got great service from him, Mike Willer, and the chrome consultant. Best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle and I have had new cars almost every year since driving. I fully recommend to anyone to call Mike if interested in a HD purchase. A true gentleman and professional. Now for the comparison. As I said, I loved the Drifter, that was until I put some time down on the Road King. It is hands down so much more superior a machine it is not even in the same class. It handles like a 300 pound bike, sticks like glue, slow speed maneuvering is a breeze, I can stop at a light/stop sign without planting my feet without any wiggle. U turns, tight turns, and two up is a piece of cake. I can only tell you that my experience is that the HD Road King Custom is 1000 times the better bike than my experience on the Metric. I mean no disrespect, it is just the facts. I by no means am any kind of expert, but it is so obvious when riding the Road King after being on a metric cruiser that there is NO comparison other than looks/style at a distance. It ends there. I’ve got over 250 miles on my beautiful RCC and wish I was riding 24/7. It’s that comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you Mike. "

"I was selling my Ultra Classic and started it up for the potential buyer and he saw it was leaking fuel. I was embarrassed and couldn’t stop the leak. I called a Harley Davidson Service near where I lived and the service attendant was too busy and didn’t have the time to listen or offer any advice or assistance. The only thing I could do was call him back in about an hour to see if he had more time. (Wrong answer) I called San Diego Harley Davidson and talked to Jerahmee Purcell. By this time I was in a frantic mode and truly unsure how to proceed. Jerahmee was very calm and settling and got a good appreciation of what my problem was. He said that he would give it priority consideration if we brought it to the shop. I felt so relieved and confident that this was a workable solution. "I had to take my 2005 Dyna in for an electrical problem. There was some mis-communication prior to me having my bike towed to your service department and I wasn't told that the bike could not be worked on for three weeks. When I was informed of the delay I was upset and they were able to find a spot a week from that day. I subsequently called Mac and asked him if there was anything that could be done considering that I had made plans for the weekend. On the Friday, three days after I brought the bike in Mac called me to tell me that a spot opened up and they were working on my bike. Being able to pick up the phone and talk to a real person who understands riders and sympathizes with their issues is a genuine advantage. Because of the personal service I received and the effort that was extended on my behalf I'll make San Diego Harley my first and last stop for all my needs. Thanks for your help."
