"I just finished the New Rider's Edge course over the long weekend. Christine, Chris (Big Mac), and Darren are great instructors. I am a new rider and was a little concerned about jumping on a motorcycle. The instruction is well thought out, the pace of instruction is great (lots of practice so you feel comfortable before you move to the next skill) and a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this course to anyone thinking about getting into biking or as a refresher course."

"Walking into the Dealership I was totally apprehensive about buying a bike. Not riding ever in my life was a big obstacle. After talking with Murray, he helped me find a bike suited to my ability. It was totally no pressure, which is great. Fast forward three weeks later and I have done the Riders Edge course and rode my Fat Bob home. "My husband bought his HD in January 2012. We had both been only spots bike riders. I made fun of him the entire time. When I discovered I was pregnant, I contemplating moving from my Italian sports bike to an American HD. As both my husband and I attend many track events, I fell in love with the XR1200. I actually did my test ride when I was 8 months pregnant. Mark was our sales guy, same with my hsuband's bike. We would never talk to another sales guy. When we made the decision my but, my bike was gone. But Mark cared more about us then the sale. He called to see if we had the baby early October. We brought our son to see Mark when he was just two days old. We finally purchased my XR 1200 when my son was two weeks old. First track day with the XR was Thnksgiving 2012. San Diego HD is amazing. If you are looking to buy a bike, see Mark. He is not just about the sale. Every time we stop by he holds my son, and I am sure when William can talk, he'll be calling Mark uncle. "Got the bug to buy a Harley last year when my 94 year old grandfather passed and I was introduced to a handful of relatives that ride. Went to Biggs Harley in San Marcos, and was disappointed in the selection. Called and spoke to Dawn in finance the next morning, gave her my "low down" and she was more than helpful! When we met, she was very down to earth and easy to work with. I LOVE the fact that the dealership has such a great understanding and compassion for our military. I spent 13 years on Active Duty with the 82nd Airborne! (All the Way!) "This is by far the best customer service experience I have ever had. I accidentally damaged a colleague's San Diego Harley auto decal sticker when I was scraping snow and ice off her car here in Illinois. I knew she must have gotten it while visiting family in San Diego. I checked the website's store but I couldn't find the same decal to replace it. I emailed customer service and got a prompt reply from Brittany Lynch. Once I explained my dilemma and sent a photo of the decal I needed, Brittany had it custom ordered for me!! Now I can replace the one I damaged and I feel so much better. Thank you Brittany and San Diego Harley for going out of your way for this Illinois customer!!"

"I bought my '08 Dyna here new and every time I have been to this dealership for service, parts, or clothing it has always been a great experience. I visited the Kearny Villa location this week to purchase a windscreen and was helped by George in the parts department. He helped me pick out the right windscreen then assembled the attaching hardware and put it on my bike to make sure I was satisfied with how it looked. Then he helped me with some loose screws I had on my backrest and even added some locktite! This dealership is also VERY military friendly. I would urge anyone interested in buying a bike or getting one serviced to do it here!"

"Had a great experience! Murray was there from the moment we walked in to help, not pressure. Vanessa was wonderful and helpful as well. By far the best buying experience of my life! "I bought a jacket that was a limited addition 2011 seasonal jacket at San Diego Harley. The girl who helped me was a beautiful blonde girl named Christina, (all the girls at this harley davidson are beautiful). Any way, Christina went above and beyond for me as she looked at all US harley stores to find this jacket i wanted. She kept on top of the shipping for this jacket. One of the things that i loved the most, was when the jacket did finally come in, Christina told me the truth she said it was a little big on me, but this wasn't an issue for me because i will be using this jacket with a hoodie sweater underneath. "I just completed my Riders Edge Class this weekend. Mac (Chris) and Ed were amazing. I had no prior experience on a motorcycle and had only been a passenger a few times. I didn't even know how to drive a manual/stick shift car. They both made it fun, had tremendous patience and by the end of the Rainy Weekend I was riding a motorcycle smiling. I have a healthy respect for riders, plan on much practice before purchacing my own. Also the ladies inside the store are amazing as well. Nothing but great experiences each time I am there. "I recently purchased a XL1200N from Swifty and Vanessa (which was a great experience)! Vanessa recommended that I purchase the wheel and tire coverage. I was a little reluctant but went ahead and purchased it. The day after I got my bike home I got a screw in the center of my front tire. I had a tow truck take my bike to SDHD service. The service department was awesome! They took care of the cost of towing and I got a brand new tire at no cost to me. "

"This is in regards to the Riders Edge course offered by Harley Davidson. Paula & Chris were my instructors. They are both by far the best out there! Very experienced, very kind (but firm when it comes to teaching safety which is great). The course is top notch. Paula is very firm when it comes to teaching safety and I am glad for that. Because one day it will save my life. Chris is an amazing teacher as well. He brings lot's of experience and knowledge to the table just like Paula. I went in this course afraid to ride on the streets and came out a very confident rider. Passed my DMV exam with flying colors as well. This is the best course anyone can take whether you are an experienced rider or a brand new rider that has never even touched a motorcycle. Take this class!!!!!! "I just wanted to thank you and Chris again for all that you have done in the Riders Edge course. I took my DMV written test yesterday and passed. I now have an M1 weewwwww whoooo! I feel much more confident now that I took the course. I was afraid to even turn on my new Harley and move it from one end of the garage to the other. Now I just jump on and ride around the neighborhood with confidence. I'm going to ride my bike around the neighborhood about 15 minutes a day everyday after work for a week. Then I will pull into traffic the week after and stay on the less crowded streets for a while. I dont think ill be going on the freeway for at least another month and will do it with an experienced rider that is a friend of mine. I'm going to try and make the advanced course this Saturday and spectate. Hope to see you all soon. "

"I walked into the San Diego Harley Davidson after signing up for the Riders Edge class and one of the sales man just asked me what kind of bike I was looking for. I told him I just signed up for the Riders Edge but was interested just to look at the Iron 883. They didn’t have one at the store but he took my number and said as soon as they get one he will call me and I can just come look at it to see if is something that I want and fits me. I was not in a rush since I wanted to get my endorsement first. All I can say this is the best Harley dealer that I have ever been too and I been in a few. At the Riders Edge course never written a bike before, Darren and Jesse were professional and patient with all the students. After having the riding fever from the course, I got my endorsement in two weeks and with my luck SDHD got an Iron 883 in stock. Well thinking that I was going to wait a little longer before I purchase a bike Vanessa was able to get me a payment that I was confortable with and also was able to get me insurance lower than the quote I had. SDHD is a top-notch dealer, I have shared my experience with some friends and now they want to learn to ride and do it the way I did through SDHD. Thank you all for the beginning of my new riding career."

"I contacted SDHD Little Italy while on deployment in Afghanistan to inquire on a FLTRU. I had contacted Multiple dealers in SoCal and John Baroni was the first to respond and the only one who stayed in touch. Within the first week home, I made the trip from the Inland Empire/High Desert and worked out a deal. John was awesome to deal with! It was the easiest and most pleasant purchasing experience I have ever had. It was very much worth the distance traveled. I must add that all the staff was great. "Recently I wanted to upgrade my bars and was helped greatly by Chris Diamond and Sam at the chrome consultants desk made me comfortable and asked all the right questions to make my purchse correct, the first time! Their care continued into ordering ALL the right parts and helped with the scheduling through Oskar at the Service desk. Oskar set the appt and kept me up to the minute about issues and information concerning my work. Clint the shop foreman has carried his expertise in customer satisfaction from his mechanic days into his supervising position as the first line set of eyes in the service department. He and the tech found important issues needing attention and I was immediately informed of the issue, the solution as well recommendations to address the issue WITH a projected cost. " We want to comment on the recent purchase of our new 2013 Softail Deluxe at the Little Italy location of San Diego Harley Davidson. This was our third purchase of a new Harley for my husband and I, but our first with San Diego Harley. We had a great experience because of John Baroni. John was always available for questions, and gave us his contact information no pressure, just availability, perfect! We were in several times earlier to see the new bikes and always looked for John since our first meeting. When we were ready to buy he took care of all the details and made everything go so smoothly that we didn’t have any concerns, only the time and date to pick up our bike. He didn’t have the bike in stock that we wanted, but worked very diligently to get it and succeed in a matter of days, a job well done! He is a good guy to deal with and highly recommend him for his proficiency, knowledge and communication skills in every aspect of our process. Even though we had bikes previously, John made us feel like we were becoming part of something great, Harley Davidson ownership. We also wanted to say that Al in the parts department was also very helpful and knowledgeable about accessories for our new bike. He helped us pick out saddlebags and a few other items. The girls at the front counter were very welcoming and helpful with our clothing purchase. We could not recommend this dealership more highly. "I could not be happier. I had never ridden a motorcycle before visiting San Diego Harley-Davidson. Larry suggested that I take the Riders Edge class. The Riders Edge class was incredible. Instructors Ed and Chris were outstanding and patient. Paula was extremely helpful by providing me with all of the extra paperwork necessary to receive a motorcycle endorsement on my out-of-state driver license. Larry assisted me every step of the way. He knew that I wanted a bigger bike but that I was not sure if I could handle it. He set up several demo rides on different bikes to help me gain the necessary confidence to ride the bike that I knew I wanted. Upon receiving my motorcycle endorsement, Larry set me up with a couple of test rides so that I could determine which Touring model was right for me. I decided on the 2012 Street Glide. "How do you earn repeat customer's business? With top notch customer service from nuts to soup!! That is what you get from San Diego Harley Davidson in Little Italy. I recently purchased a 2012 Ultra Limited from John Baroni. This is the third bike I have purchased from SDHD, and the second from John in the last 4 months. John has a keen eye for what the customer wants, and never applies any pressure or persuasion, but lets the bikes sell themselves. He is friendly, confident, very knowledgeable about the entire Harley Davidson line, and makes the entire process of purchasing a bike smooth and pain free. If you are going to purchase a HOG, see John!! He even found a way to save me $1k a year on my insurance!!! What a guy!! This recent purchase is my 4th HOG, and whenever I need any maintenance done, I take it to the Little Italy shop. Chris, the Service manager is friendly, efficient, and always willing to work with you to make the customer happy. I have been demanding in the past, and he has never fallen short of my expectations. Dave, the service technician, is the only mechanic I will let work on any of my bikes. He knows his bikes, and always gives it to you straight....good news or bad. If he gives you a recommendation, you can take it to the bank!! Between all of my bikes they have probably conducted 30+ hours of maintenance, and never once have I had a complaint. Gents, please keep up the good work!! Al is a wizard in the parts department. If he doesn't have it in stock, he knows where to find it. I recently ordered a part that was back-ordered until the middle of September. He found it and got it to me within a week. I don't know how he does it, but he does. His knowledge of all the different options and parts support makes it easy to find exactly what you need when you need it. Garrett at the rental counter is always working hard to keep the rental customers happy, and one day when I need to rent a bike, he will be the one I go to first. Now for the fun part....the beautiful girls in sales. Julie always has a huge smile, and they all seem genuinely glad to see you walk through the door, and they always greet you with a warm "hello". So there you have it. I have been to this dealership once or twice, and the entire staff feels like family. If they give an award for Outstanding Customer Service in every department, then the Little Italy store wins hands down. It is always a pleasure to stop by and visit, even if I don't need anything. "I have had an interesting experience with Harley Davidson. Let me start from the very beginning. I've been thinking about purchasing a Harley for about a year now. Time was never right so I held it off, I recently realized timing is never right. I decided to take the Riders Edge classes to learn safety habits. The class room courses were very informative and the instructors Ed and Darrin made everything fun and interactive while still making sure we were well informed. During the beginning of our riding portion I received the bad news that my 92 year old grandmother has died. She was very near and dear to my heart. I decided to continue with staying in the class. It really helped me out with coping with my lose because it gave me something else that needed my undivided attention.If it wasn't for continuing with the classes I feel i would have just been a wreck. After all the classes I now hold riding a motorcycle close to my heart cause it helped me cope no other way. Those people in my class or the instructors had no idea of my lose, nobody treated me differently and I earned my way through it, but if it wasn't for the uninfluenced kindness of my classmates and the drive of my instructors I don't think I would have been able to be as successful as I was. So I would really like to thank my instructors and I hands down recommend this class to any rider. Now lets talk about the dealership. Walking into the Harley Dealership is overwhelming, it a pretty big store with a lot to keep your brain entertained for hours. When I first walked in I didn't know what to expect, as soon as I opened the door I was greeted with a feeling that they were happy to see me come back even though it was the first time I was there. You get a sense of feeling that your a local that comes in all the time. If staff at other places were this friendly maybe our economy would be better because I felt like spending every single penny I had in my bank account there, and at the time I didn't even own a motorcycle!!! Before I got there I already did my homework on what I wanted to buy. One of the sales people there greeted me and pretty much gave me a run down on all the bikes on the show room floor. I knew bit about all the motorcycle, but the information I didn't know he let me know like Johnny on the spot. After spending some time looking around I decided to go with what I originally wanted, 2012 StreetBob. I sat down with Larry and discussed some options I had. He threw a price at me which I was very pleased with but I had to let him sweat a little bit so I told him I would be back. I'm not going to lie, I tired a few different places to look for a better deal. After a week of looking and being disappointed with what I found and the financing they offered me I decided to go back. Finally went back to the dealership and once again was greeted like I've been there a million times, also once again felt so comfortable I wanted to empty out my bank account. Luckily after talking to Larry and financing help I didn't have to empty out my bank account. I left Harley feeling that made the best choice of my life, money wise cause this financing is so flexible and they take care of everything for you and now I have a new 2012 StreetBob. Not to mention my friend referred me and we both received a $100.00 gift card to the store. I'm excited to return to the store to let the know all my new stories and buy new parts, because like I said before you now feel like you are part of the family and like you've already been there a million times."

" Wow........ In March I dropped by just to check out your dealership and I was greeted warmly by Mark Pearce. I mentioned to Mark that I was trying to sell my 06 Dyna Low Rider without any luck. I told Mark that someday my wife Susan and I really wanted to purchases a Limited touring bike. Of course, Mark said that he could make that happen. I described the condition of my bike and what I was hoping to get for it. Mark mentioned to me that if I would like he could sell it on consignment for us and see to it we would be the owners of a Limited touring bike in no time. Well, a couple months went by and I decided to bring my wife down to visit your dealership and Mark. She was also very pleased by the friendliness of everyone, and we have been to quite a few dealers. That visit was May 27 and Mark again told me to bring my bike in so he could sell it and we agreed. However it took a couple of weeks to get it there due to our schedules. Mark called me around June 13 to follow up with my status. I returned his call and said that we would bring in the bike on June 24. He said great and that he knew of a few people interested in it already. On June 24 we arrived at 9 am, checked our bike in for a consignment inspection and after some paper work Mark again assured us that as soon as our bike hit the sales floor it would be gone........ While we were hanging around to speak to the manager about the price they would be offering it for we met Bubba and Karen, a couple of members if the local HOG. They had a friend that would be very interested in out bike and encouraged us to join their club once we had our new bike purchased. They told us about the trips that this club takes every weekend and they left with the group for the day. Later that afternoon we got the phone call that the bike had cleared inspection with no issues for repair, perfect condition. Sure enough our bike was on the sales floor June 26 and less than 24 hours later it sold, basically that night. 2 days later, June 27, my wife and I are now proud owners of a new 2012 Limited touring bike. A huge thanks goes out to Mark Pearce, Chris Diamond and Vanessa Johnson for there insight and awesome service with this transaction. "I've been a frequent customer at San Diego Harley. With other local Dealers to pick from, I keep coming back! The Parts Department is 2nd to none! Recently I was in need of a Voltage Regulator for my 2004 Heritage Softail, it wasn't in stock. I needed it right away and elected not to order. Mike checked locally for any available at the other Dealers and found one in the county. I told him I'd ride over and get it. Now, the interesting thing is, I could have changed my mind and gone on home but, I decided to go the big loop and see if I could get it. When I arrived at the other Dealer, the part was on the counter with my name on it and before I could ask to see if one was available, the Parts Rep asked me if I was "Karl". I said yes and he said, I have your part right here ready for pickup. I was shocked, I didn't call and ask for it. Someone from San Diego Harley had called and asked to pull the part for me that I would be there to pick it up. OMG, what a cool thing to do! "I just completed the Riders edge course. My instructors Paula and Jesse are very passionate coaches and show a lot of concern for their students. On the last nigh I shared an attempt to practice a swerve at a higher speed and Paula told me that it would happen without me even knowing it. I tried to put that somewhere in my mental notebook, we all had a great time and went home very happy with our certificates. well, this morning I felt like a little boy ready for his first day of school. geared up, got ready for DMV and decal office. Mentally preparing to take the freeway in morning traffic, "SEE", Maintain distance, keep your cool, "I'm ready"!!! As I roll onto northbound 5 I see the south bound lane at a stop, No problem, North is slow but flowing. Ok Robert, find a spot and maintain safe distance. As I prepare to merge, I hear someone lock up their brakes, I look up to my left and there it was, A very large tire bouncing right at me at a fast speed. The car behind me was pushing me and I said to myself, NO F#@%G way!! Did not have time to think or run from it. somehow and with the grace of God, I swerved left around the tire and returned back to my lane. It's been 8 hours since and I still can't explain to myself how I did it. I'm sharing this because if there is anyone thinking of going on 2 wheels, please take the riders edge course. Paula and Jesse are great coaches and the knowledge and skills they will teach you can and will save your life someday. It saved my life today. The Riders edge course is the most inexpensive gift you can give your loved ones. Thank you Paula, Thank you Jesse, I'm looking forward to the advance course soon!!!!"

"In May of 2012 my wife and I really liked the rental motorcycle (Ultra Classic Electra Glide) we used for 2 days while our '07 Road King was being serviced. It was so much more comfortable than our RK, SHE actually wanted to buy a new H-D. Our RK had nearly 45k miles and we had outgrown it. So my wife had a lot of influence in the purchase. She needed to know we could afford it and she needed to feel very satisfied about the transaction overall. Our salesman was great! He had several great ideas that helped us understand how we could afford the new bike. "I just completed the Rider’s Edge course and it was an awesome experience. I am coming from the perspective of someone who had never even ridden on the back of a motorcycle before. I now have the confidence to ride my new Sportster and I love every minute of it. The instructors Darrin and Ed were both top notch and gave the class all the support and confidence needed to learn to ride a motorcycle. You can tell that they both have a great passion for riding and wanted to pass that along to the class as well as the importance of being a prepared rider. "So many great things to say, so little time.. First off I worked with Chris Hofmann in sales, he rocked! I went one day and looked around he was great, and had to go back but i grabbed the same guy! "Just completed the Rider's Edge program with their very knowledgeable and extremely professional instructors, Ed and Chris (Mac). What an incredible program that I highly recommend to each and every rider whether you are a beginner or experienced. Personally I haven't been on a bike in over 25 years and now that my girls are almost grown, it was time for some "me time". It was a sport I surely missed through the years and was almost sure I couldn't do again as it had been so long. This fear only intensified after I got an up close and personal tour of all the new Harley Bikes....they were certainly gorgeous but oh so intimidating. Could I really ride one of these again? Well after the five day Rider's Edge course the answer is now a big YES! My fears were immediately put aside upon hearing the calm voices of Ed and Chris. "I recently purchased a 2012 Road Glide Ultra from the Little Italy store. Since I’ve owned quite a few bikes in the past I’ve had more than my fair share of experience dealing with sales people and being pressured, negotiating over trade-in values, dealing with financing, etc., and most of it was, well you know. But my experience working with John Baroni (who is an incredible guy) at the Little Italy store was simply amazing, the best experience I’ve ever had. I should have said we’ve ever had, because John was able to make my wife feel like she was an important part of the process, and she had a great experience as well. What was so important was that John was with us every step of the way. Anyone who’s ever been shuffled from a salesperson to the finance department, then to the parts counter, then back to finance, etc., knows just how frustrating the typical experience can be. Even before we entered the dealership for the first time, John spent A LOT of time patiently answering my questions questions over the phone. When we did arrive at the Little Italy shop and finally met John, I immediately knew this was going to be a different experience. I’ve never had a sales person patiently giving me undivided attention for ALMOST FOUR HOURS, answering all my questions and then handling the financing as well! John even negotiated on our behalf to get the best trade-in value possible on my previous bike! During the whole time I never felt pressured; when it came time to talk about options, extended warranties, etc., I felt that John was trying to find the best solutions for me and not in maximizing profits. "My 2007 Sportster 1200R Roadster has been serviced at the San Diego Harley Davidson Downtown location every 2,500 miles, since I purchased it new on October 16, 2006). I now have almost 45,000 miles on it and have never had a problem that wasn''t resolved quickly and totally to my satisfaction with great customer service and attention to detail. I had thought it couldn't get any better, but a recent experience with resolving several problem situations (front tire mount, top end gasket replacement, front brake pad replacement, primary cover replacment, clutch cable replacement) taught me another way to spell "Customer Service". It's "Chris and Dave", the Kettner Service Manager and one of his technicians. From helping me out with transportation home and back to returning a better than new, immaculately clean, motorcycle, I was completely blown away. The attention to detail, the communication and working out of what was covered by the Extended Service Plan exceeded my expectations. I worked for many years in the Computer Service industry and thought I understood what constitutes good customer service. Chris and Dave, plus all of the super friendly, helpfull staff at the Downtown location, have definitely redefined the term. San Diego Harley Davidson Downtown will always be my Harley dealer of choice. Comments in other testimonials accurately allude to the Downtown staff as "Family", which about covers it for me! "

"I have never ridden a Motorcycle in my life and wanted to experience the highway's in a different view. (Keep in mind, I have never been on a Bike) I heard about the Rider's Edge program hosted by San Diego Harley Davidson, I had no idea what to expect! In this class they thoroughly walk you through everything you need to know about riding a motorcycle, starting with SAFETY! They do not shy away from the risk that are involved in riding a motorcycle. Day one and two was in the classroom, Day three and four was on the course. "I've wanted to ride a motorcycle for a long time. After my husband took the Rider's Edge class and bought a bike at SD Harley, I decided I didn't want to be left out of the fun. I put the cart a little before the horse and bought my 2011 Heritage Classic before I learned to ride. The sales and finance team (Robbie, Mike and Dawn) were fantastic. I love my beautiful bike. I took the Rider's Edge class last week and had a wonderful experience. Darren and Ed were my instructors. They were knowledgeable, encouraging and oh-so-patient! I passed the Basic Skills Test and have my appointment with the DMV in the next few days. I can't wait to get out there and get some miles under my belt. Every time we have been to the dealership, whether it was for New Bike Night, just shopping, enjoying a BBQ or taking the class, we have been overwhelmed by the friendly and inviting staff. "I was in the market for a new bike, and always had interest in Harley Davidson. I was coming off a kawasaki sport bike and wasnt sure if this was the right place for me to shop. When I stopped into the dealership, I immediately noticed that this was not like any other motorcycle dealership I had ever been to. Everyone welcomed me, pointed me to help, and was interested in me and why I stopped by. I was able to test drive right away, and there was no pressure for me to make a decision. Everyone in the store clearly knows so much about the bikes and brand, and clearly love what they do. "I am so happy! I just brought my new baby home, she's gorgeous! A beautiful 883 Superlow, my first Harley. I was just looking for transportation, but instead, I found a family. John was wonderful, so patient and explained everything, made me feel at home, walked me through the whole experience, I've been riding bikes my whole life, but this was different. This isn't just a bike, it's a whole life experience! WOW. Is all I can say. He introduced me to everyone and helped me pick out parts and make my wish list, talked to me about events, being a part of a family of riders who interact and really seem to care about one another. I've never had an experience like this in my life. I am amazed. "I have a great story to tell about a fairly new employee at SD Harley. I bought my last bike there 16 years ago. I work very close so I have had a ongoing relationship with the store since including being taken care of by Summer on a new jacket where she went way above and beyond helping me "customize" it so it would work for me. About a week ago I started to think about a new CVO bike but didnt know much about them. I called the store and Chris Hoffman answered.I told him I was just kinda sniffing around about a new bike and he did such an amazing job on the phone with me that I packed up my wife (from Alpine where we live) and drove down. Once I saw the sold CVO Road Glide with Chris telling me all about it, I was completely sold! Problem: They didnt have one available... Chris and his sales mgr Mike Moran absolutely killed themselves to try and get me this bike. One of their competitors in SD had the bike in stock and would not give it to them assuming that I would find out where it was and show up there and buy it. Because of the great job, hard work and amazing attitude that Chris and Mike put into this, I refused to deal with their competitor and went almost a thousand miles away to get the bike (major pain in the butt...). If there is ever a story of great customer service and a couple of very special guys going above and beyond for a customer that they knew they couldnt even sell a bike to, this was it!!! I am commited for life now to San Diego Harley and want everyone out there to know about the people that run this place! Its easy for someone who just bought a bike there to say great things on this page but this experience with these guys going thru what they did trying to take care of me was truly exceptional!!!"

"Well, the story starts back in Dec, when I walked into the dealership on a Sat afternoon. I was just minding my own business when all of a sudden I walk right into this 2012 Road Glide Custom...and I do mean custom! No dealer in SD tricks out their bikes like the guys at SD Harley! Anyway, way out of my price range, but my salesman, Chris bent over backwards trying...just couldnt make it happen. I looked at that bike every Sat since. Flash forward to March 31st...the last day of 1% financing...it was now or never! I qualified as a 1%er, but was still afraid to pull the trigger. "Went to buy a warranty and bought a bike instead. I have been doing business with one specific dealership for many years. However a recent experience drove me to compare pricing for a warranty with San Diego Harley. When I arrived at the dealership I was introduced to Vanessa who was extremely knowledgeable about the different extended warranties that were available for my 2010 Ultra. As we discussed the various options that were available to me, she asked if I might be interested in looking into trading in my bike to take advantage of the 1% financing that was being offered through HD credit. At first I was apprehensive, but as I started to consider the interest that I would be praying over the next 5 years that I still had left on my bike, the numbers made more sense. That's when I was introduced to Mike, we went into the inventory and I saw a black Limited. I had really wanted the Limited in 2010 but opted out, I was always a bit sorry I did. The one option that I really regretted not getting was ABS brakes. I had test drove a friend's bike that was so equipped and was really impressed. Well, I was impressed with the level of professionalism of the entire team and we came to an agreement and now I got the bike I had really wanted. Vanessa and Mike were great to deal with, and the entire dealership still has that "family" feeling: something that is being lost in society today. Thanks guys: see you on the road!"

"I've only been riding a few years. I bought and learned on a metric cruiser, saying that I would only spend the money on a Harley if it was THE one I wanted and only when I could afford it. San Diego Harley Little Italy afforded me that opportunity WAY sooner than I thought humanly possible. 1% Financing...Friggin' rediculous! But, beyond that, the SD HD Little Italy team, including John, Al, Garrett, the Service crew and the Girls working the floor made my whole introduction into the HD realm absolutley amazing, and I am positive I will be hard pressed to find a more cooperative and appreciative dealer anywhere in the country! "I have been a long time rider of foreign motorcyles and never even looked at a Harley until I saw the "48." So this purchase was going to be a case of "I want it" vs "I need it" given that I already have 11 other bikes in the garage. I read the internet reviews on the bike and visited two other dealers and then went to SD Harley Davidson on the recommendation of a friend. I was pleasantly greeted by Robbie from the sales staff who treated me like i had known him for years. Turns out we grew up in the same area. After a few minutes talking with Robbie I had found the dealership that i could call home. The great deal on the bike was just the icing on the cake. Dawn from Finance, Chris from the Parts Department and Christina from accessories were all equally pleasant to deal with. When purchasing accessories, Christina was ready to offer a loaner helmet since the one i wanted was out of stock, until i told her that i already had one with me. (i just wanted a bobber helmet that i didnt already have). I used to sell cars while working my way through college and I market and sell high end multi million dollar commercial Jets to foreign customers now and i know what building relationship with your customer(s) is paramount. The staff at SD HD are keenly aware of customer rapport and service and it seems like its built into their personalities. The only type of attitude the folks at SD HD have is a "helping friendly one." This is what is going to keep me coming back for parts/service and anything else SD HD has to offer. "When my wife and I were ready to buy our new 2010 Ultra Classic Limited, one of our best friends (Old Fart) didn't have to do much encouraging as to where to buy it from. We have always liked the dealership and the locations. The process from start to finish was fast, easy, and had perks! We walked out with more than just a great bike, but also some great accessories. We have always been treated 1st class whether we are buying clothes (does my wife like to shop!), parts for the bike or it's service. We have only ever had 1 issue with it and it wasn't a big deal; just some tightening on the front end. San Diego Harley sent a van out to pick the bike up for us and took superb care of it. Every time the bike has been in for it's service, the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. We have never been steared wrong. This brings me to our 10K mile servcie for which my work schedule precluded me from being able to get it up to the shop. They sent out Ryan today who wowed my wife. He was friendly, polite and knew how to ride our bike. He pulled it out of the garage, started it .. got it turned around and flew up on a ramp and into the back of the truck as if it had done it a million times! San Diego Harley takes care of it's customers and not just the day you buy your bike. They really care for and always give the best service possible whether it is chargeable or not. It is people like Ryan and Sara in Service today, who went out of their way, that really made me want to write a thank you to all of the nice folks at the dealership. Thank you for always treating us well and for taking care of us. "My relationship with San Diego Harley Davidson began about 5 years ago when my wife and I were on a ride from the Salt Lake City area to San Diego. Upon reaching the Del for what we hoped would be some well-deserved relaxation, I found the starter on my bike was having some problems. I called another dealership and they really wouldn't give me any hope that they could help me. My next call was to San Diego Harley Davidson and after I explained our predicament I was assured they would help me out. Needless to say I spend the day up waiting for my repair to be completed. While there I was treated as family and what could have been a really frustrating situation was made very pleasant. I have always been really appreciative of those involved going out of their way to help me out. Since that time my brothers and I have visted the dealership many times. In fact, in June 2010 while passing through on our way from Salt Lake to Portland (gotta love our travel plan) my brother purchased a CVO convertible. John Baroni and the entire staff went out of their way to locate (the bike was acquired from another dealer), acquire, and prepare his bike. This was all completed overnight and the bike was ready the following morning. Amazing! Baroni made sure everything was just right and the girls in "research and development" made sure our wives were accessorized. Baroni stored Jeffs old bike and we came back to San Diego in October to ride it home. While in Coronado between Christmas and New Years this year, I got looking at the new CVO Street Glide. I really wasn't looking for a new bike however, I really fell in love with the style. Baroni assured me they are not easy to acquire. To complicate things, I couldn't decide on red or black. Baroni had a red one coming in late february so I decided to put a deposit on it. Since I wasn't sure on the color I was nervous but Baroni assured me San Diego HD would find me what I settled on. Based upon prior experience, I was confident they would make that happen. Needless to say, on January 31 I was in San Diego to ride my new "Black" CVO home. I enjoy visiting both your wonderful city and San Diego HD and generally do so several times a year. I always feel at home and everyone always goes the extra mile to make Jeanna and myself comfortable. Particularly, John, Garrett, Annette, and all the guys in parts have made my time there memorable. "I purchased a 2012 ULTRA LIMITED from San Diego Harley-Davidson at the Little Italy location. I started the process by requesting a quote via the San Diego Harley website and John Baroni called me the next day and said he had the bike I was looking for, a red ULTRA LIMITED. After talking with him for a few minutes I felt he would be a good salesman to work with and told him myself and my SO would come in Saturday 4FEB and see the bike. The latest HARLEY I had ever ridden was a 1982 FLH (still own) and had recently sold my 2005 GOLDWING with the intention of buying a new ULTRA. After checking out the red ULTRA we met John and he let us take a 2011 ULTRA out for a test drive. Wow, it was everything I had read about and more than met my expectation, oh yea, my wife loved it also. When we got back from our test drive we sat down with John and started the negotiations, John was very easy to work with and we quickly came to an agreed price that I felt really good about. I was also pretty sure I did not want an extended warranty but for relatively little money John showed me how I would be completely covered for 7 years, I think when I bought my shovel all you got was a 3 month warranty. Got the bike and extended warranty. We also met the manager Garrett Grosch, he was also great and made sure things where moving smoothly. We also got to pick out free tee shirts and got to meet the merchandise sales clerks, they were also very friendly and helpful. Overall this was a great buying experience, the staff was great, and the selection of motorcycles was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a bike. Thank you John Baroni for selling us the best motorcycle we have ever owned, we never felt pressured and you answered all my questions. "I recently went on a holiday to USA and was looking for a late modle Fatboy to bring back to Australia. "I recently purchased a 2012 Blackline from San Diego Harley-Davidson at the Little Italy location, and it was a great experience all around. Garrett Grosch set it up so I could rent several different bikes on a Saturday to help me decide which one would work best for me. After being out for a few hours on each one, I decided on the Blackline. John Baroni was my salesperson, and was awesome to deal with. He let me check out the bikes in the showroom at my own pace, and when I had questions, he was easy to talk to and informative. "Vanessa and Chris made my sales experience as easy as could be. I wasn't sure if I was ready to trade in my Heritage Softail and upgrade to a full bagger but Vanessa offered me opportunities to test ride some different styles of bikes without pressuring me. She was thorough and made sure I had a backrest (put on by the service techs) on the bikes I test rode when I explained that would be a determining factor to my comfort level (a requirement for me as I've had back surgery). "I just recently purchased a 2012 Ultra classic and I am really happy with my bike. This is the 3rd bike I have bought from SD Harley. and I guess my history and my repeat business speaks for itself. "My husband and drove by and as a joke stopped in to sit on a Harley. We are sport bike riders with nothing but Italian bikes in our garage. We really had no intention on buying a hog. Mark was our sales guy. He spent endless hours going over the different bikes and options. He took us for a test ride on Chritmas Eve. We were sold after the test ride. The bike was a promotion present for my husband who made SSGT in the USMC. There was no pressure to buy. The weekend before we bought the bike my husband and I spent 3 hours looking at bikes with Mark. Unfortunately Saturday 14 Jan Mark was out sick. Chris took us under his wing and helped us throughout the entire processes. He answered all of our questions, even my virgin Harley ones. He did a walk through on the bike and finally afte 3 weeks we had our a bike, a bike we didn't plan on getting. We returned the next day to thank Mark and Chris. Mark spent another hour or so answering more questions. He helped us get the right highway pegs and change our pass code. I feel confident in their knowledge of the bikes they sell. "I came into San Diego Harley Kearny Mesa location to purchase my second Harley from them. Right when I walked in, I felt the Harley pride again. Chris my sales man, helped me out trying to find me the right bike that I wanted. I was having trouble deciding which color I wanted for my new Softtail Deluxe, but Chris was able to show me three different colors that I was interested in. "I purchased a 2012 Denim Black Iron 883 the other day and got to take it home with me today! I had walked in 5 days before just planning to ask some questions and met with John. I had ordered a combination speedometer/tachometer for my 2004 Heritage. After three weeks waiting for the part to come in, George had researched the status on his own initiative and found out the part had been discontinued since the order was placed. "Last weekend I purchased a new 2012 Sportster 1200 Custom at the Little Italy location. I have to tell you how impressed I was with my sales person John Baroni. "I just purchased my first Harley a few hours ago. "Today, I bought a new Sportster Super Low. I couldn't be more excited about the bike, and about the fantastic experience I had at San Diego Harley's Kearny Mesa dealership. My visit and subsequent purchase couldn't have been more professional or enjoyable. Interestingly, a large part of my deal was conducted remotely, over the phone, with John Baroni. John was extremely helpful and gave a very accurate description of the lightly used bike that I later bought. If you know what you're looking for, and you see it on the website, I recommend giving John a call immediately. (I'm glad I did; the shop appears to have a lot of turnover.) Later, upon entering the dealership, I instantly felt welcome. While I had heard about Harley's superior customer service, I really wasn't prepared for this level of both professionalism AND personality. In addition to the great help John provided, he was also a great guy to chat with over coffee. This dealership is lucky to have him, I can tell. Notably, because I lacked transportation to the dealership, John personally offered to pick me up and bring me to the dealership. And, when I asked to have the bike trailered to my home, John arranged it within minutes. Moving to finance, Vanessa also did a fantastic job. I really enjoyed talking to her about her own riding experience. She thoroughly explained my insurance and other options without being pushy, which I appreciated. Most importantly, I was impressed by her exacting explanation of the contractual details (quite a compliment coming from a contract attorney). This experience won my loyalty. And I suppose the best (and, yes, the decidedly embarrassing part) of my visit, was the closing bell that Vanessa rang after all my documents were complete. "I've owned lots of bikes over the years and when I was looking for something different than my Street Bob, I wandered into a few Harley dealers in San Diego. I never found the bike I was looking for and in fact, I really didn't know what I wanted. But when I visited San Diego Harley, the sales guy Brad looked familiar. I met him at another dealer a while back and he remembered me. Before I said much, Brad knew what I was looking for and even though I kept commenting on different bikes, Brad kept bringing me back to what I really wanted. He knew the right bike for me before I did! That was weird but I guess I wasn't listening to what I was saying but he was. When I went into the back room to see the pre-owned Harleys, I saw the perfect bike, a Road King Police bike with a few thousand miles. It didn't take much convincing from Brad because he let the bike do the talking. It is great to have someone actually listen to the customer and to gently steer them to the right bike they are looking for. In the long run the customer will be much happier with the best bike for their style of riding. Since I've owned the Road King, I have been shocked to learn how well it handles for a big bike, and the bags and screen make riding enjoyable. I can't wait to go on a road trip. Thanks Brad."

"I have never been a Harley fan, and have owned foreign bikes all my life. About 6 years ago, I had to stop riding due to a disability. A recent friend of mine mentioned that he knew of Harley's could be modified to allow people with disabilities to ride, and encouraged me to check into it. I talked to a friend of mine who owns a Harley and he said that I would not be disappointed if I visited San Diego Harley (which is where he purchased his bike). I decided to email them first, wondering if it was even possible to have such modifications done on the bikes, before getting my hopes up in riding again. John Baroni called me back the very next day to discuss my needs. He put me in contact with Chris Diamond due to his contacts with SoCal Trike Center, and told me that a modified clutch was possible, so shortly after I visited San Diego Harley. I mentioned to John that I had to sell my truck in order to purchase a Harley, but he informed me that they took vehicle trade-ins. Before doing anything, I went to one other Harley dealership. They didn't seem as service oriented, didn't mention taking trade-ins, nor went an extra mile to take care of my disability needs. Ultimately, I ended up purchasing my Soft Tail Heritage Classic from John at San Diego Harley. They really went above and beyond to make sure this deal happened, and really cared about getting me back to riding again. From all the guys and gals on the showroom floor, behind the counters.. John on the sales floor, Chris in parts, Dawn in finance... they all made us feel like part of the Harley family. "

"San Diego Harley KNOWS "Customer Service"! They definetly put Customer Service as Priority One. Thanks to Kieran and Sarah in Service for getting our bike down to the Little Italy location so that Jim the Technician could work on our bike ASAP and get it back to us for our Long Distance Trip. We took our bike in on a Sat. and explained we had a long distance trip coming up the following Friday and we REALLY didn't want to take the loaner bike ( Warranty gives us one) they immediately put us on so we could ride other rides we were doing over the Memorial Day wk-end. They checked the technicians scheduled and trailered our bike to Little Italy location where the best chance of getting it worked on in time to get it back to us by Thursday. The Service Dept. and the Technician stayed on top of it and got us our bike back for the trip. We knew they couldn't put us ahead of others but we were certain they were doing their best to get the job done. Jim the technician worked his tail off and finished up the bikes in front of us and got to ours too! Luckily, it was not a big deal to repair. The point is that at SD HD they put the customer as No.1 and it shows. Thanks to Jim,Sarah and Kieran in Service for working together to get us our own bike for our trip. We had a GREAT time and owe it all to you. Rental bikes are good but there is nothing like being at "Home" on your own bike when on a trip. "Customer Service is #1 at SD HD and it shows. Late this afternoon our Harley developed a loud noise ( Never good) as we were rolling out of our driveway for a short ride. Straight down to SD HD we went. Sarah (In Service) came right out and listened to the bike and said "we need to get that in ASAP." The bike has only 25,000 miles on it. We got it new at SD HD 12/09. We explained that we had a ride coming up on Monday and another Long Distance ride this coming Friday for which we would be gone 4 days. Sarah got Odem( the Rental guy) and they reserved us a bike right then that we could have for both our Monday ride and Long distance ride. They gave us the option of them driving us home to Escondido and coming back tomorrow for the rental ( Thank Goodness for Warranties) or wait while they went down to Little Italy and picked up the rental to bring back to Kearney Mesa for us. Even though this is a BIG holiday wkend and rentals were tight they knew we had these plans and they rearranged some schedules to make it happen for us. THANK YOU Sarah and Odem ( you two KNOW the meaning of customer service and statisfaction). Then there is the crew in Motorclothes. Can't say enough GREAT things about them. Jen,Summer,Brittany,Kayla and Christina "ROCK". When I find something I want ( even if I see it at another HD Dealer) I can text them the item, they order it and then let me know when it's in. "I'm a new rider who was a little nervous going into a Harley Davidson store much less taking the Riders Edge Motorcycle Safety course in one. I don't know, I guess I find big bad biker dudes a little intimidating... who doesn't right? All of those worries melted away as I walked through the door. All of the staff were super friendly but in a real way - they were good, quality, down-to-earth people. I didn't get tarred and feathered when they found out I didn't have a Harley. The instructors of the course Steve and Rick were top notch. They always had a really positive attitude and you'd swear they'd never had a bad day. They did whatever they could to put everyone at ease and make it an enjoyable experience. When the time came they went the extra mile to see that the entire class graduated together. Thanks guys."

"Los Angeles California May 2011 I have decided on a particular Model, color and one optional factory feature (ABS) and was told this color is not available for model year 2011 but was produced in model year 2010. i consulted the Harley Davidson Dealers of California web page and was informed by mike of Michael's Harley Davidson of Cotati California that there are three Harley Dealers in California with each having one of these bikes, it turns out all three had factory installed options that were not acceptable to me. two dealer were reluctant to bring bikes back to stock, however when i called Harley Davidson of San Diego California and explained my dilemma to Larry Kane in sales, his answer, "that should not be a problem." the following sunday grandson Roger and i drove down to San Diego inspected the bike which was flawless, made the purchase which they were not able to get the bike ready that day. Larry Kane delivered the bike to Los Angeles with a dealer van on his day off. Newly retired with brand new dream harley (FLHTCU) I highly recommend Harley Davidson of San Diego California. "Had 1 bad experience and swore I'd never go back! BOY WAS I WRONG! Traded in a 2008 Goldwing and a 2009 Softtail Deluxe for a ROAD GLIDE ULTRA! Almost gave up, but Larry's attitude on the phone and even bothering to call me back a few times made me think again. Being offered the chance, I went up to SD HARLEY and met with Larry. Never even knew Mike or who he was until "the end". "THE END" came when in a very short period of time, Larry asks me to go home and bring back the Deluxe. Did that. By the time I got back to the shop, my wife had signed the papers. Larry and Mike made this happen for me, and so fast and painless that I still wasn't sure what I had just done. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Just goes to prove that you can't judge an establishment by one bad experience. BTW, I missed the Goldwing because of its comfort, and the Deluxe because of it being a great bike. Put them both together and I actually have a bike that's the best of both worlds that I traded in. "I purchased my first HD last week from San Diego HD. I went into the process expecting to be treated the same way I have been treated at car dealerships all of my life. "I recently attended the Riders Edge training course that the dealership provides. It was purchased by my amazing wife as an anniversary gift. For someone with little to no experience on or around a bike the dealership made my wife feel right at home, providing her with all the necessary information required. I honestly didn't know what to expect and was a little nervous to get on a bike again as it has been a while since I last road. Through my first point of contact with Paula, she fully explained the process and everything that I would need for the course. I turned up on the Thursday and was instantly greeted by my soon to be instructors, Ed and Chris. They went about making the entire class feel at ease with what I can only describe as the 'Ed and Mac show!'. From the first day on the range and the wide assortment of abilities that the class had, they both made the experience informative and fun. By the end of the first day I can honestly say that everyones jaw must of hurt from the huge grins we had on our faces. As a group, our confidence grew as did our skill level and when it came down to the final test everyone passed with flying colors. I can honestly say that the combination of teaching methods, the atmosphere and most importantly the coaches made the whole class one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done. It has instilled me with the confidence to ride a bike to a level that I feel will both enhance my enjoyment and safety throughout the years! A massive thank you to Ed, Chris and Paula (and the wife) for quite possibly the best anniversary present ever. I'm off to the DMV!"

"So I bought a Sportster a few years back and have been really looking to upgrade to something bigger with some more power to it. I decided to go into the Kearny Mesa shop to see what bikes were in stock. Was looking around and John Baroni welcomed me to see if there was anything he could help me with. I told him my situation and he was stoked to help. We got to talking and it turns out me and my brothers grew up surfing with his sons, we both thought there was something familiar about each other. I wanted to see if I could trade in my Sportster and John helped me with every step along the way. I brought my bike in the next day and after explaining the different options I had for an upgrade I got to test drive a few bikes. John really helped me understand the differences in all the bikes and what I should expect from the ride, he didn't try to push any bike on me and was really interested in what I thought about the bikes. He made his recommendations and after riding a few bikes I was just super stoke on the Dyna Wide Glide. John took me over to Chris to pick out some accessories, Chris was super helpful with what options I had and which parts were quality and would add to the bike. John knew I had to run back to work so he told me he would take care of everything and to come back after work and we'd sort everything out. They took care of everything and I got back there that afternoon and everyone in the Finance Department worked with me and stuck around after they closed to make sure everything was handled. They were super patient and explained everything for me. I really recommend going into the Kearny Mesa shop really a great experience, no one hassling you to buy a bike and they work with you on the financing to make sure you're not strapping yourself and that it works with your budget. Everyone down there is super cool and they really helped me out. The only thing better than buying my first Harley was buying my second! If you're looking for a bike go to this store and you'll get the quality service and be riding a bad a$$ bike at the end of the day! Thanks guys, stoked!"

"I started my search this year for the Black Denim Cross Bones in Los Angeles at Bartels Harley Davidson. I was instantly disappointed with false promises and lies about what was available for the model I was interested in. After putting down a sizable deposit that was the last time I heard from them, they never answered my calls or informed me that they were not able to get the motorcycle they promised they could have with in a week. I finally had enough so I went down there and got my deposit back. I heard through the grapevine that San Diego Harley Davidson had one of the two Cross Bones left in Southern California and in the color I wanted. As soon as I walked out of Bartels with my deposit in hand I immediately called the San Diego shop and was on the phone with John Baroni on my first call. Within the first five minutes of talking with him I knew I had found the right dealership. He informed me that he was sitting right next to the bike I was looking for and if I was able to put a deposit down over the phone he would take the bike off of the show room floor and put it in the back of the shop until I was able to come down in person and make my purchase. He kept true to his word 100%. When I finally made it down to the shop i was greeted with a kind smile and no bull s#@t! They made my experience exactly how I would have expected it to be. Once my purchase was on it's way I was then introduced to Chris the parts guy. He helped me pick out every custom part I wanted added onto the motorcycle before I would take her home. He was very informative and very patient about helping me design the custom look I was going for. He was very honest and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. After all the paperwork was finished I got to take my new Cross Bones for a test ride. It was such a beautiful bike and a super smooth ride! Unfortunately I had to leave her there for the upgrades that I am having installed to her but they told me they are going to get on it A.S.A.P.. I am sure that it will be so! John has already called and informed me of their progress which is the exact opposite of the last dealership I dealt with. So the question is, am I a happy customer? Absolutely YES! And once I get my baby back I will be happier ten fold... I'm going to tell everybody about my experience with San Diego Harley Davidson. "My new partner Larry! This year, it was all about changing, challenging and renewing my life. I sold my beloved car and decided with dedication to take a motorcycle license and get myself a Harley Davidson. SURE said all my friends, especially my old time guy friends that have been riding sports bikes for over 15 years. I heard they doubted me. But, 11 days after I sold my car, I was a proud motorcycle licensed rider. I quickly ran off to the Harley Davidson Store where I browsed around with some brief help from a young man in the store. Not quite so happy, I left with more or less no clue of what would ever suit me, they were all so big and heavy. A vacation came up and after 2 weeks I was back in the store again, and there I met him, Larry! Now, I mean of course Larry Kane. With his calm and friendly welcome, he asked me a couple of personal questions and within minutes I was on a brand new bike they only had in the store for about one week. I was sold! I was in love! This was it! Now Larry, of course wanted me to be sure and made me sit on a couple of other bikes to compare, but I knew, and of course, Larry knew, the Sportster XL1200C, that was THE bike for me. So, now over to some modifications. Going over books of saddle bags and solo seats, I got some expertise help from both Chris and Larry. I was quite picky when it came to the design of the bags but when it came to the seat, I had no idea. However, trusting Larry with picking the bike for me, I also trusted him with picking the seat. And then Larry says, you must have a bell. A bell? What bell? He showed me at the cashier all these small little bells hanging in a leather strap. The where everything from shiny bells with Tinkerbelle on them, or black skull shaped bells. I decided to go for a bell that had a biker angel on them, and of course with the Harley Davidson San Diego text. As a person who constantly moves around the world, I wanted to bring this San Diego bell with me everywhere. The happy day came when I was about to finalize the purchase and get the bike home. But as a new rider, I was a bit hesitant about riding on the freeway for 30 minutes until I would reach my home. I am still so grateful that Larry arranged a delivery of the bike to my home. I slowly started off at the parking lot outside of the house and then after two laps I was out on the road. Gosh. This is so addictive!! I read this ad in a Harley brochure, saying: Everything about this bike says something about me. And it was so true. Larry, had during our conversations, fun chatting time, jokes about marriage, flying interests, pets and shoes (well, I talked about shoes and he politely nodded), Larry had totally figured out which bike that was like me. Now, after 4 weeks of owning the bike, the only thing that I find is not quite comparable with me is the sound. To all people who really knows me, knows I can talk, a lot, so when I say that the bike is not making enough noise to match up to me, well, enough said. I guess that is another good thing about Harley bikes; will it ever be completely finished? It really is like a partner in your life. It will change along with you. However, whatever you decide to change, it will never complain about it. Ha ha So Larry Kane, my deepest thanks for your professional help in finding me a, not only great and fun bike, but also a great and fun partner. You are truly a Biker Match Maker! "When deciding to buy my first motorcycle, a Harley of course, I anticipated the process of being similar to that of buying a car. Oh man was I mistaken! When walking into Harley Davidson San Diego everyone greets you with smiles. Not the creepy I-want-your-money smiles you get at a car dealership but genuine smiles of people who have a passion for what they work with and enjoy spreading that passion to others. First off, Larry is great! Not only did I never feel any pressure on what to get, he told me about the differences between the bikes and how how thought they would fit me. I sat on a few bikes but couldn't really make up my mind on what to get. Larry didn't stress me at all and said Don't worry, think about it, come back when you have your license and go out and ride some of them and see which one feels best. So I did. I got my license and came back that following weekend, the day of the Chili bake-off so there were tons of people around. Being a really new driver it's easy to get nervous in surroundings like that but Larry took the bikes I wanted to test drive around the corner and I got to drive off behind the shop to get more confident before I had to ride past the crowds. Funny how it works. After riding 20 feet on the second bike I test rode I knew that was the one. Even more funny, Larry told my wife exactly the same thing as I rode away. He saw it as well. The experience of getting a bike at San Diego Harley Davidson couldn't be more fun. Everyone is eager to help you or talk about whatever you want to talk about. Hockey, exotic pets, bikes and everything in between, the staff at SD Harley are awesome! I'll definitely be coming back. "I just purchased a 2011 Iron 883 and I cannot accurately convey just how great my experience was at San Diego Harley Davidson. I had been in contact with Larry Kane while I was deployed to Afghanistan and when I returned home I went in to see him and it was awesome from start to finish. He is professional, not at all pushy, patient and genuinely cares that your bike fits you. I am a new rider, and a female one at that. But never once did I feel as if I wasn't taken seriously by anyone there. Larry, Louis, Dawn, Mike and Chris (both service & delivery) always had a smile and kind, encouraging words. I have been in multiple times to purchase a few things & drool over all of the merchandise and everyone there remembers you- it's the same feeling of family that I get in the Marines. "San Diego Harley Davidson what can I say. If you are thinking about buying a Harley Davidson you have come to the right place! My Harley adventure began when my wife and I rented an Ultra Classis Electra Glide from a local dealership. We enjoyed the ride so much we set out looking for just the right bike, color and options. After calling several dealerships, I contacted John at San Diego Harley Davidson. After talking for about ten minutes, John told me he had the basic bike I was looking for in stock. He explained it would need several changes to meet the specific criteria I had laid out and asked if He could call me back. After concluding our conversation, I told my wife this was the dealership and sales person we were going to buy our Harley from. A short time later John was back on the phone. He told me he had made all the arrangements to have the bike set up exactly the way I wanted. After talking price, I was amazed. John had brought the bike in right where I wanted it even with the changes that had to be made. Living 300 miles away, John took a deposit over the phone and started the ball rolling. By 3:00 PM the following day, John was on the phone advising the bike was ready. As we continued our Harley adventure, my wife and I jumped on the train and headed to San Diego. We were picked up by San Diego Harley and driven to the shop where we finally met John and the rest of the team. We were treated as royalty as we looked at the bike and concluded our business. As we walked out of the finance office, bells and horns were sounding. We were soon directed over to the clothing department where we both received a T-Shirt to go along with our purchase. "My wife got KO'd 9/15/10 by a hit & run driver. I had the bike towed to SDHD for an estimate. Subsequently, I left it in Zack's hands for repair. It was a near total with the Est at 12.7K. Few parts were usable besides the engine trans and wheels. 2 weeks after the accident, the estimated time of completion was based on delivery time of the painted tins, Min. 6-8 additional weeks. Then the work would begin. Yesterday, 11/12/2010 I picked up a showroom looking '09 FLSTC. Runs like a champ and looks fantastic, especially considering what she's been through. My wife's 3 broken ribs are nearly 100% and you should have seen her face when she saw it. Then again, when she roared around the block. A smile so big she probably already had bugs in her teeth, that's good stuff! A few days short of 2 months after the "A hole" knocked her over and split. Zack kept us apprised of the changing status all the way through the process and went above and beyond the necessities of his job description more than a few times. That's much appreciated. Jon's expertise and knowledge appear 2nd to none, as this bike looks like showroom and performs better than after the 10K service I had done a couple of hundred miles previous. No delays, no glitches. Overall this is what I expected, and more, when I chose to have San Diego Harley Davidson repair the scoot. Thanks for everything, we'll be back. Hope to see you in the wind! "I bought a V-Rod Night Special from the Little Italy store, the important thing to know is that I was considering other brands. I was very slow and deliberate in making my decision. Jesse Henderson without a doubt is an absolute PRO ! His product knowledge is amazing about the Harley line and that of the competition. "I took the Riders Edge Safety Course, Oct 14-18 the Ricky and Ricky-tic. I have to say, they were the most patient men, with the rain and me never riding a street bike before. They taught not just me, but everyone in the class to respect your bike, be smart about riding and most of all, the rules of the road. Now that I have had two days of actual riding, I have to say, they are the best! While I am riding, I am mentally going through all of the rules and skills they have taught me, to make sure that I am safe, while, enjoying myself. My brother has ridden motorcycles for over 35 years, and he was very impressed with my skills. From starting/stopping and really impressed with the way that I can handle corners. He is now telling all of his friends, that I can ride and where I learned the skills. I highly recommend this course to anyone thinking about getting a motorcycle license. "A friend encouraged me to take the Rider's Edge basic course through the Harley Davidson downtown in Little Italy. I had never been on a motorcycle before. Our instructors, Ricky & Ricky-Tic, were both experienced riders. They were both excellent teachers and provided superior training and were patient, fun, and gave us great tips and instruction. They made the classes interesting and provided priceless training and advice. I highly encourage first time riders to take the class. We were the first class Ricky taught in the rain in 10 years and we still learned everything. Plus, being in San Diego where it never rains, we were able to train in less than perfect conditions which was also great knowing I was able to pass the riding test regardless. Without these two guys I wouldn't have the skills or confidence to ride. I highly recommend the program, and my specific instructors."

""It will change your life..." Some might take that as a sales pitch coming from someone just trying to sell a bike. The fact is, truer words were never spoken to me. After just getting my motorcycle license I was trying to figure out what kind of bike to get. I was looking at a Honda and a Yamaha; came close to getting a Honda Spirit. Still, I decided to go on-line to check out Harleys, which then motivated me go really check them out. I went to your dealership in Kearny Mesa. I have to admit I was intimidate before walking in. I actually sat in my car for a few minutes in the parking lot deciding whether I should go in or not. I thought I would get stares from hard core biker types that would wonder, "what's that guy doing in here?" I couldn't have been more wrong. Immediately I was greeted with smiles by friendly, down to earth people. I felt comfortable right away. I met Larry Kane who listened to me and understood what I was looking for in a bike. He did not pressure me or try to sell me something that wasn't right for me. He had me sit on some bikes and really took the time to help me make the right choice. I didn't buy a bike that day, but I went back a couple of months later and looked for Larry. He was there that day and he remembered my name. He showed me a fantastic, slightly used 2009 Sportster 1200 Low. It only had 600+ miles on it and was in perfect condition. I decided to pull the trigger right then and there. He said to me, "it will change your life." Wow! Was he ever right. I then had the great fortune of working with another one of your wonderful associates, Lindsay Friedman in finance. She is just a gem and truly one of the nicest and sweetest ladies I've ever met...and smokin' HOT I might add! She knows her stuff and her enthusiasm is contagious. Larry set me up with a wonderful bike and I began enjoying a new sport and activity that has brought a great deal of pleasure into my life. My experience at San Diego Harley keeps me coming back. Over the next year and a half I've frequented your dealership. I've purchased a lot of great clothes and accessories there. I've also had my bike serviced regularly at San Diego Harley. Sometimes I stop in just to say hello and check out the bikes. Everyone I've met and dealt with at San Diego Harley has been helpful, friendly and courteous. As time went on I found that I outgrew the Sportster and wanted a bigger bike. Once again, I sought out Larry because I knew he would help me make the right decision. Larry is honest and doesn't dish out any bull. He's straight up and I trust his word. He's good people. I took my time making my decision and rented some bikes. Finally, I decided the Street Glide was the bike for me. On a Monday night this past August I got the bike of my dreams! I traded the Sportster in for a 2011 Street Glide in Merlot Sunglo. Both Larry and Lindsay stayed late that night to complete the deal. Lindsay even broke a date and Larry was going on vacation...now that is going above and beyond! Talk about exceeding expectations. I really can't tell you enough how happy I am with my bike. But beyond that, the service after the sale at your dealership is outstanding. The people at San Diego Harley are wonderful. "WooooooooooW!!!!!! San Diego Harley is off the Hook. This VERY professional establishment, just went the extra mile, to put me in on my first Harley. Needless to say I am ecstatic. "My son recently purchased a Street Bob from San Diego Harley Davidson and has spoken highly of the people there. I had been looking at the Street Gluide recently and at my son's urging I called San Diego Harley Davidson. I was put in touch with Jose in sales who listened to what I wanted (key word here is listened). After I finished Jose asked several questions and said he would call back shortly. My first surprise came when Jose called back exactly when he said he would to tell me to come down. I went down to meet with him and quickly agreed on the bike I wanted at a fair price, which was my second surprise. No bait and switch policies here. Jose then took me to meet Chris in Parts. Chris and I were introduced, however he was with a customer, so realizing he might be a while I went looking around. Everyone I came in contact with had a smile on their face and after asking if they could help me, to which the answer was no, they still engaged me in genuine conversation. My third surprise came when I heard Chris behind me saying he was finished with his customer and asking me how he could help. I have never had someone in parts come out on the floor looking for me before in order to help. After finishing with Chris. "I just graduated from the Riders Edge course where Ed and Ricky D were the instructors. "My name is Tony Pallotto. I am the Co-founder, President and CEO of Teen Adolescent Placement Services. A California Non Profit 501-C-3 Corporation. We serve families of very troubled and out of control teens. Teens involved in drug and alcohol addiction, gang activity, violence and other issues. Our oganization sought out 4 different Harley Davidson Dealerships to help support TAPS with a fundraiser that we wanted to continue for years to come. The fundraiser involved the purchase of a brand new Electra Glide Classic LOADED that we would raffle off in 6 months. San Diego Harley Davidson not only stepped up to the plate to assist us in our endeavor but every time they knocked it out of the park. First we spoke with John Baroni who by the way will get 2 more sales out of this in the very near future. John helped with selecting the perfect bike. We then of course went to Director of Operations Derik Bergman. Yes, another home run. Not only did he agree to help support TAPS in our fundraising campaign but gave us a remarkable deal by becoming a major sponsor for TAPS. Derik gave us at least 27 dates/venues to sell our raffle tickets. He also spoke with Service Manager Jason and did our service in preperaton for our Coast2Coast Awarenes Run to support the cause. After several months of dismal raffle ticket sales a very bright star came up to the plate in the 11th hour and hit the grand slam of them all. Trisha Marshall the San Diego Harley Davidson events and planning coordinator. She went to work in every aspect of promoting us to succeed. Additional events were added to our schedule to sell raffle tickets like the Ketner Nights, the Grand Opening of the Seaport Village Harley Davidson store and finally the Annual National Firemans Convention at the San Diego Convention Center. If I didn't witness it with my own eyes I would have never believed it. Trisha's incredible efforts paid off. She like the rest of the San Diego Harley team all worked together for TAPS to have a successful fundraiser. Without this last minute serge of very hard work by Trisha Marshall it would have been a dismall ride across this beautiful country of ours feeling bad about a poor fundraiser. "My story is one you don't hear every day but I'm glad it happened to me. I was shopping for a Road king and went to most Southern Cal dealerships in the span of 3-4 weeks, I probably test rode 10 bikes and ended up in the financing room 3 times, Noone ever made it happen at my price. I went to a SD County dealer and found a 2010 Shrine edition Road King, they met my price I called my friend who owns 3 dealerships he confirmed I was getting a great deal. I paid cash and rode home on my new bike, my route home takes me past the Kettner street dlshp I see a similiar bike in the window with apes, so I call & I get Kearny Mesa, John answers, I ask about the apes in the window, he responds I got a black apes police bike, come see it! I drive my new bike up take a look at the bike on the showroom floor and go home more depressed than I have ever been, That was my Bike on the floor! The next morning I call John @ 9:00 He ask how I am, I say "I did'nt sleep all night" So I drive my new bike up thinking it was not going to happen, but it doesn't hurt to try, cause that bike was made for me!! An hour or so later I rode off the lot with my dream bike, they took my day old bike on trade for the 2010 Road King Police edition with a 103 ci engine and all the accessories I would have added myself, I just add pipes and done! The staff @ Kearny Mesa Harley is tops in every way Derek, John and Dawn all knew I had a passion for that bike, I couldn't look at it just incase it was a dream, then to my astonishment they made it happen. THE BEST! If your considering a bike go here first, you won't regret it! I went here second and almost regretted it the rest my life...Thanks guys. "

"On July 4, 2010 I attended the Skills RiderCourse taught by Paula Williamson and Ed Biggs. Wow what a fantastic class!!Paula and Ed are super patient and wonderful teachers. I have wanted to take the skills RiderCourse but was afraid of dropping my bike and looking like a fool. This class is the perfect invironment to make a mistake with the possibility of dropping your own bike. Better to error in a safe place with no traffic. I really had a great time. I have been riding since 2006. With my permit in hand I learned on a Honda Rebel 250 took the basic Ridercourse to obtain my license. The basic RiderCourse is also awesome. I rode the 250 Rebel for about six months, then my husband surprised me with an 2007 883Low. Rode the 883Low for a year. Got tired of being blown around the freeway and not being able to keep up with the bigger bikes. I ended up selling the 883L and puchased a used 2003 Dyna Lowrider that I lowered. So I have the ultra lowrider. I'm vertically challenged as my husband would say. Learning to ride has been a very positive experience because of teachers like Paula and Ed and having the Basic and Skilled RiderCourse available. Thanks San Diego Harley for being a sponsor. Also I might add the class room discussions were valuable as well. It gave everyone a chance to ask questions. Using the mock situational road map designed to show potential dangers was very helpful. The flash cards were interesting as well. Oh yes the special goggles that simulate having drank alcohol was an eye opener. I pesonally have NEVER rode with one drop of alcohol in my system much less a drink or two. We all know that drinking and driving don't mix but adding the risk on two wheels is just plain "Felony Stupid". Anyone who has ridden longer than a year should take the Skills RiderCourse using their own bike. Even if you only improve on one thing it might just save your life. "Just bought a 2010 Flame Blue Ultra Glide Classic. I was in an accident at the end of April and my 2007 Road King Classic ended up in Harley Heaven. I went in on Saturday the 26th just to look around and check out the inventory and was checking out a 2010 Street Glide and started talking with my salesman, Troy. After going through my list of "stuff" we looked at the Ultra Glide Classic and talked with Chris in Chrome & Accessories to see what was available. The only thing left was to see Lindsay in finance. "We bought our Heritage Softail through Ryan at the Little Italy store although we found our bike in the Kearny Mesa store. Both stores worked as a team to get us into the right bike and that teamwork has continued to this day with the great support we've received. Geographically we are much closer to the folks on Kettner; Micah and Jim in Service, Rod in Parts and a special shout to Jenny and Kat in Accessories. To be honest, there's been no drop off when venturing up to Kearny Mesa either and the whole sense of community behind those Saturday BBQs and SD HOG events have made the new ownership experience undoubtedly the most satisfying we've ever envountered. "Bought my first Bike from the Kearney Mesa location. Had never owned a bike before but have taken the classes and practiced. Jose P. was the best person I could have ran into that day. I explained to him what I wanted in the long run, and he steered me towards a bike I wasn't even thinking about, and now I can't imagine getting and am so glad I went with his suggestion. "I took the Rider's Edge course which helped me build a "toolbox of skills" as a new rider. After the class and a day later, I was officially licensed to ride. Quality training and even a tour of one of the Kettner dealership, giving me an idea of what SD H-D has to offer for their customers! When I was ready to purchase my first bike, the sales people were honest and bestowed their sage wisdom about recommendations on what model to get. They will not steer you wrong! They are riders too and so they know what a newcomer looks for and what they would enjoy the most. After a quick test ride and more questions answered, I started the process of purchasing my first Harley! A 2010 FXD! My iron steed! Everybody is helpful and nice. "I completed the Riders Edge course this past weekend. It was the best investment I could have made to help increase my safety and skills as a motorcyclist. The materials provided were excellent and the video, group discussion, reading and hands on training cater to all the ways people learn and reinforce the key topics. The instructors were beyound excellent. Ed was patient, and always (under score always) using positive reinforcement to get his point across. Steve was fun and serious at the same time. Both of the instructors were first and foremost safety concious and kept a vigil eye on all riders during the hands on portion of the class. I recommend this course and place of instruction to all who want to learn how to safely ride a motorcycle."

"Lemme tell you how wonderful my experience was. My wife and I were visiting San Diego over Memorial day weekend and I figured I'd check out the Harley shops while I was there. First off, SD Harley was open the entire weekend from 9-6, including Monday, which worked out great. My wife and I had already checked out the Harley dealers in my area, and, unfortunately, more often than not, I got stuck talking to an arrogant saleperson who was only interested in making a buck, and not getting me into a Harley. I ride a Yamaha, and wanted to finally step up to a Harley, but I wasn't gonna settle for anything but the exact one I wanted. When I walked in to SD Harley, they had the bike I was looking for already made up for me. A powdered coated 2010 FLHPE (Road King) that not only looks awesome, but is an incredible machine. ABS, 103 engine all the extra bells and whistles. Having had to go through the wheel and deal antics with the other dealers, I already knew how much I wanted to spend. I gave a number, SD Harley took it and I rode off in the bike the next day. Done deal. No hassle. They even let me bring my dog in so that he could take part in the experience. They put together a great bike with solid craftmenship and all high end parts. I rode it all the way back to L.A and the only thing I hated, was getting off it. I was teetering between a Harley and a Triumph Thunderbird, and I must say, that I have no regrets. Both are great bikes, but the quality of this bike is superb. The confidence that I have in the HD name and the San Diego dealership made my decision that much easier. Thanks SD Harley for a great experience."
